Here are a couple of tips and tricks for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 which is running Android 10 and OneUI version 2.5. In this video, I show how you use the split screen view to do some multitasking and how you open apps in free floating windows. You learn details about the energy saving mode, the kids mode, and how you can use it with a keyboard and mouse.

Review is not complete if you doesn't compare with something five times more expensive. I never understood why car review doesn't compare Honda Civic against class S Mercedes.

@@foca2002 because comparing it with something more expensive is unfair for the cheaper device. If you compare a budget tablet with a luxury tablet then obviously the luxury tablet would win because it would have more features. It's clearly unfair.

My Tab A7 has just been delivered. I am not very technical, so while I was waiting for it, I watched all the videos I could find about the Tab A7. Apart from one that was just about the set-up procedure, this was by far the most useful. Lots of things I will definitely use, but not mentioned by anyone else. Do you also have one about the set-up procedure? I'll check your channel. Then I might have the courage to actually open the box and switch it on. Electronic devices usually give me stress, but you are a great help. Thank you.

Another interesting feature is Wind down mode is quite helpful. It turns the display black and white and is very soothing to eyes. Also you can set maximum time of usage for any app. It limits your time spent on the apps.

Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

@@andrealow1228 - the tablet kept turning off despite being set for 30 minutes, and would not turn back on, so it was returned to Best Buy and a 2nd one received. Had the same problems - contacted Samsung and they said that it appeared both were from the same shipment, and that the pallet may have been dropped in transit or storage, which would cause the tablets to malfunction. Took the 2nd one back, got a refund and purchased a Lenovo tablet instead. No problems with this one - wife loves it!

@@retiredyeti5555 Oh wow! That stinks! I'm glad you ultimately got one she loves. My husband bought one for his son as as a belated birthday gift. My step-son lives on his computer (desktop). Well, he DID. Since he got his tablet he's hardly been on his computer. My husband got both of ours at Sam's. Fortunately we have not experienced any issues. Fingers and toes crossed! (For the record I would almost believe both of the ones you purchased were indeed from the same shipment. Ours are perfect thus far.) Thank you for replying! In the event we should have this happen at least I'll know!

@@andrealow1228 The folks at Best Buy were very accommodating, which makes me think that I was not the only one to experience this occurrence. I tried to rectify the problem through Samsung Support, but to no avail. They told me to take it back - both times it was within a day or two of purchase.

I have an A7 for a few weeks now, my first new Tablet, and I love it. Love the split screen thing, I need that. Check out Dolby Atmos, the sound is great. One thing I would love to see you cover is scanning pages and turning it into a PDF with Google Drive. I know it can be done, but I just can't seem to get mine to do it. I suggest for u to get the a7 wifi u can turn of the backround refresh u can play fortnite and its has 30 fps in fortnite but its stable like it dosnt move from 30 fps its stays 30fps i really recomend to get it its better than the s6 lite the s6 lite is like 3 fps on fortnite

It is possible to connect a budget drawing tablet, such as the One by Wacom, to improve handwriting notes, and drawing! I am very happy to discover that function! I am in love with this tablet! Really great purchase!!

anyone made by a major brand from best buy or something because they’re usually made of metal, last a long time and cost like $10-20. I have a griffin one it works perfectly for painting or writing things down. If she is writing very tightly and condensed she should use paper and a ball point pen for notes, if it’s a flowing larger type of writing stylus will be fine in my opinion

I think it depends on what you are doing with it. I thought it wasn't, but it will support a truly massive Micro SD card, which I will never need. I put something like a 64 Gb card in. It didn't cost much, and I will be amazed if I ever fill it. I think with the cheaper end of the market, less storage is whats expected, and top it up with a card.

Memory Card does help. But remember you cannot install apps in the memory card.

It’s totally fine. You can use a micro sd card which are cheap! If you run out of space for apps just delete something and download it again later because you already own it

I think it is. My old phone had 16GB of storage. It was good because I could use Google Photos to keep my photos and you already have 5GB in Google Drive to store things.

You can just redownload them. When I got this tab recently, when I logged into Google play it showed me the stuff I downloaded like 7 years ago and it was all mostly the same stuff I use now haha

A7 cannot, you have to buy like S6 or s7.

Yes you can use any capacitive stylus with A7, they are not as good (obviously), no palm rejection with such stylus as well so writing using it is a bit of a problem

My S9 had a little side dock pre-installed. I think it's called Tasks Edge. I assumed it was a standard thing in OneUI, but even though the A7 has One UI 2.5, it's not there. I particularly liked it for the screenshot tools that were akin to snip and sketch on Windows. Also, the samsung method of palm swiping to take a screenshot that I was even able to do as far back as my Galaxy S3 doesn't work. All in all, a surprisingly premium-feeling budget tablet that's pretty great for the media consumption I've been using it for. :)
