Thanks for the instruction! You play more like the card game Rummy (adding points for each user). The goal is to win by emptying your rack first, so the tiles on the table are more community-owned (making runs and sets off of whatever is showing on the table) than player-owned (racking up points from the runs and sets each individual has made). You score by adding up the points left in the racks: the person with the empty rack gets the points of all the tiles left in the other racks and the other players get negative what they have in their own rack. If no one is able to empty their rack before all tiles have been used from the face-down pile, the player with the lowest point total in their rack wins. A joker left in a rack is 30 points.

Your playing the 3 numbers wrong. You can't have 2 of the same colors you need one of reach

You are correct. Only the same colour can be played in a sequence. If we played same numbers of the same colour that must have slipped by. Good catch.

The method of scoring mentioned in this video is not correct. In the end - when one person has used all the tiles in his rack the other players get a NEGATIVE score equal to the tiles on their rack. The person who emptied their rack gets a POSITIVE score equal to the total of all the other players. Read the rules!

Thanks for the clarification. Interesting to hear various ways people play this game or have learned to play, myself included.

This version was from Pressman Toys. They have a few different versions I believe the origins of the game date back to the 40s but I’d have to do some researches to who. Good question. Great game.
