It depends on how stiff or soft you would like your bag to be. I like fusible fleece or cotton batting if I quilt mine.

Just a little feedback for your next tutorial….. it would be helpful to describe the type of fabric/ interfacing used. Also stitch width/length recommendations along with seam allowance sizes for us novices (there’s no seam allowance instruction during the beginning parts of the tutorial).

Any materials are suitable so long as you are using a good quality interfacing. Also you can see her seam allowance on the sewing machines footplate. You just need to do a sample piece to get your stitch length as all machines are different. Watch it first and write things down before having a go yourself.
