Oh Emma let me tell you my gardening story of the day. So it starts in march my beloved sister gifted me with a beautiful seed tin and inside was a packet of seeds ( tobacco nictotina if I remember ) So with excitement I sowed them. I tended to them with love potting on etc you know the hard work that goes into them.🙂 They reached a great height so they were lovingly popped into my pots and around garden. So run forward to today I walked round my garden admiring my hard work as you do. My beloved plants had flowers 😊......mmmmm🤔🤔 they don't look like the picture on the packet! Google lence time!! 😮😮😮 Bloody only gone and grown a bunch of UK's most common weeds 😂😂😂😂 note to self give said sister a clip round the ear and tell her not to trust online seeds 😂😂😂❤

I have those seeds from chiltern seeds. I didn’t have any luck getting them to flower but they should be away from veggies. They have a brilliant lime green colour. Another one is Cleomes ❤ bees love them ❤

You can sow and grow beetroot multi plant. They do well that way. You can also multi sow/grow spring onions, turnip, and radish, plus other rops. It makes for a bigger harvest with less faffing

Yes I agree with the other comments about looking into self publishing your book, lots of people do it so why not give it a bash Emma?

Hi Emma if you had planted your multi sown beetroot in as grown you then take the biggest and leave the smaller ones to grow on saves a lot of faffing around

Lovely watch again and good to see Foxy and Einstein again. Goodness knows what happened to Rocky the cat though! Sow some more beetroot 2-3 seeds per modules and plant the whole midule as one don’t seperate. Root veg don’t like to have their roots disturbed. Brassicas and peas are amazing Emma well done. Oh and I would take off the pumpkin flower so goodness goes into the rest the plant and it gets stronger.

Gardening is so nice I just love it especially when you sow a seed and see it bursting through the soil and no slugs attack, but your garden is looking beautiful lots of greenery see you on Friday ❤❤

I put 4 or 5 beetroot seeds in cells half the size of yours then planted them out together, I’ve already harvested some, they push each other away and I pick the biggest one from each bunch, leaving the others to grow on. Got some decent sized ones already and it means I’ll have succession crops with one planting x

Emma, just check your brassicas arent touching the netting. I think one on the far right was at the end of the video. The cabbage whites get in that way by simply landing on the net and laying eggs through it.

Not seen a cabbage white butterfly yet this summer. I am also in South London. My brassicas are netted and checked daily. I spend alot of time in my garden every day and not seen one. 🤷‍♀️

Thanks so much! I live in the US and have been trying to figure out what a brassica was without the correct spelling. Thanks to Google I now know a brassica is what we call a cabbage. 🥰 Learning something new!!

Brassicas are a whole family, including cabbage. Others include cauliflower, brussles sprouts, brocolli, calabrese, romenesco and I am sure I've missed a few! 🤣 There are also non-veg plants which are in the brassica family.

I self published a book through Amazon KDP a couple of years ago. Im selling about 30 copies a month and i havent even promoted it, think how many you'd be selling? Then just sit back and watch the royalty payments come in each month 😊

I have been " growing" beets for years, I never harvested any yet. Im being stubborn and plant a row every year regardless😂 mine just never pass the leaf stage they grow to a bit taller then your's ,then stay at that point

That netting on your brassicas is still not small enough. You need Veggiemesh from Gardening Naturally

Root plants like beetroot, carrots, radish etc, do not like their root disturbed. So do not pull them apart. You can grow them as clumps, max 3. But again, do not pull them apart when planting out, just put them in as a clump. Why? The root is what you want, and we humans cannot see all the teeny tiny hair roots on the somewhat bigger roots. When we rip them, they set back a lot. For a fast growing crop that we want for example leaves of, it is not that much of an issue. For root plants, it is. Roots are harder to grow than leaves. So, just sow them in ground directly, or sow them in pots (max 3) and transplant the pots as a whole.

Many folks don't agree with self publishing. We did. Ok, it's a good many years ago. You don'tneed a publisher, do your own, get it published, buy the books and sell with your other creations. I'm not telling you, just an idea.
