One thing about my racehorse that was not covered was that they are very responsible about aftercare, even following up with their inexpensive claiming horses to find them second careers

Just Steel finished 17th in the Kentucky Derby. Was brought back on two weeks rest and fractured a condyle during the Preakness. It was luck or the grace of God that Just Steel didn't fall on the track. This race was not an endorsement of running horses like they did in the "good old days."

I agree. Just Steel was lucky and because of the inverted Y shape of the break the healing of the bone is more challenging. It is not a given that he will survive this break. Right now he is sound, according to Dr. Bramlage-and also according the doctor this injury healing is dependent on how the bone within the inverted Y heals. I am always hopeful until there is no hope.

The Triple Crown spacing does not need to be changed. Lots of things in American racing "need to be changed". That's not one of them.

You can sell, You find buyer and they can transfer the shares. It might take a little time.

I think Randy Moss is one of the best handicappers, and we need to pay more attention to him. Wisdom is key in this sport. The coach proved it with his win in The Preakness.

1. Let’s not forget Catching Freedom - he’s danced each Dance and done pretty well. Note - we need to reinstate the Triple Crown bonus to keep these horses running each leg. 2. Sierra Leone needs body work and ground work to straighten his crookedness and improve his balance. A new bit is like a Band-Aid, but agree it may work it may help. 3. Randy… I appreciate your skill as a handicap, her and announcer, but - the NBC production is horrible. I beg for a pose parade of undercard races versus more hats dresses, and drunkards.

That Preakness was ridiculous. Imagination going 4 wide for no reason doesnt make sense at all. Regardless of whatever they thought of the Grey. Also that lady said horses health is paramount. Doesnt she work in the west coast where they been butchering their horses by the gallon for the past 5-10years. Foh.

It’s because they are breeding for lighter faster horses and they give the muscle enhancers use to breed for big bone and size stamina now it lighter and speed

So people understand, you can be a shareholder with MyRacehorse, but you are NOT a racehorse owner with MyRacehorse. You do NOT get ownership priviledges. You only own shares in the horses you purchase shares in. You have to pay to attend at least 90% of all MyRacehorse events. MyRacehorse rarely owns 100% of a horse, therefore shareholders are less likely to turn a profit. Seize the Grey is a rarity. Also, only 0.01% of all registered thoroughbreds win a Grade 1. You do NOT always get winnings. MyRacehorse will withold earnings to maintain a reserve for other costs. If you are thinking about joining MyRacehorse, read ALL the fineprint and ask questions! This is far more about being a fan, and not about trying to profit on an investment. Maybe it's for you, but maybe not.

As I understand, you have no say on how the horse is raced. For example, I would have a problem with the intense racing schedule for most of the horses trained by Mr. Lucas. I am worried about Seize the Grey running in the Belmont.

I've never paid a dime for an event and have been to dozens of MRH events. I'm lucky enough to be based in Lexington (now). True, you don't get say in where and when they run, but really should an accountant in Nebraska or a administrative assistant in Oklahoma have say in races or training? However, MRH is the Margaritaville of an industry that had been in decline. Fans have learned a tremendous amount at a tiny cost. The group has pulled more interest into the game. I guarantee Thoroughbred Daily News will get thousands more views simply because it was a micro share- and many thousands move because it's Lukas. I've had season Tickets to the Giants for decades. I never walked the field or was never invited to call a play. It's racing: there will be heartache -- adrenaline and financial consequences -- but we never get a bill lol Horsearitaville

@@onetimeonly111 So are concert tickets. But in this case $127 just turned into at least 2K. Arcangelo stands for 35K at Lanes End. Pretty sure Seize will cover at least 75 mares a year...Might not be at 35K
