I had to laugh along with you at 8:52 and have to admit, this was just SO satisfying to watch you bring this all to life. Such vibrancy and wonderful color interactions! What I'm most grateful for is your narrative throughout. There's a lot of folks who make videos with music laid over their process... I much prefer to hear your thoughts and especially your laughter. Just makes me happy! Thank you for that. The final results are just beautiful and admit, I favor the pink piece. lol! I hope you are all well and great to see your creative spirit at work! Cheers and again, thank you!

Myriam, Myriam! I am at a loss for words ! Both petris came out strikingly beautiful. I love how you do everything in such a clear way, no wasting time. Colors are simply gorgeous. The smaller petri is adorable and i agree , does have the “sari fabric” look to it. I like very much the faceted mold and you used it to great advantage especially with the Marabu’s metallic. Love the swirling effect, the rose center aspect and oh! just about everything. Thank you for creating these two lovely pieces for our pleasure and admiration!

How gorgeous!! The first, pink one looks like a Victorian style rose design and I love it! The second one looks East Indian to me and I was so surprised and tickled when you acknowledged it too. I love the flame design you got in the corners of it. As always, your videos are interesting, concise, fun, educational and so helpful! I love that you don’t have us sitting there watching you measure, pour, stirring the paints or resins ! You have video making down to a capital T as with everything else you do! You definitely get a 10star rating Myriam👍🏻👍🏻🤗

What stunners!! I could look at these forever. And you really gave so much insight on the behaviors of these new inks in the Clearcast 7050. Massive 3D effects on the big faceted piece- makes me want to use this technique on a faceted bangle bracelet mold. The colors and pattern on the smaller, thin piece were, like you said, like a sari or exotic textile. So fun, and thank you for the discounts, too!

Fantastical Fabulous!!! I ordered the INKS!!!!! Can’t wait💕💕🧜♀️💥
@kerravonsen28104 жыл бұрын
Oh the pink one is so pretty! It makes me think of tea-roses and grandmother's doilies. For the really thin one, for those of us who don't have access to Clearcast, one could pour another layer of clear resin on top when the resin is soft-cured, so that the coaster will be thicker and more robust when it's demoulded. Or one could do that the other way around, first pouring a layer of resin, let it soft-cure, and then do the design with a second layer of resin. You know what would look really amazing? Doing this technique with black resin rather than white resin. Because the metallics would really pop against black. Or maybe do a layer of black resin, let it soft-cure, and then a layer of clear resin that you dripped the inks into. I ordered the Marabu metallics immediately after you introduced us to them, but they haven't arrived yet. 8-( Overseas postage is taking soooooo long nowadays. Ah well.
@MyriamsNature4 жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh it’s nice so see your name in my comment stream! I agree with your clear layer recommendations. The clearcoat on top of the metallics and glitter can only make them better 😁. About the black... we are definitely on the same wavelength because I am actually playing with that AS WE SPEAK!! 😃. I’m letting the resin “age” a bit, came to read comments in the meantime, and saw yours. Too funny! I’m excited for you that you’ll have the Marabu inks. They play so nicely in resin. No weird films/skins on top and it’s almost impossible to make mud. Thank you for the fun and kind comment! Happy inking!! 😘💕💖

They are beautiful! I use UV resin (and these inks, thanks to you!) for Polymer Clay. The UV resin CAN take heat, I use it after curing at 300F all the time with Polymer Clay. If making thin coaster pieces, perhaps UV for a layer or for all of it would do the trick for hot cups! UV resin is more expensive, be advised!

Hello from Dallas. I’m becoming a big fan, not just of your talent, but being true to yourself as a person. You’re voice is so mellow and comforting. Tonight’s video was incredible. The swirled flowers were breath taking. I’m trying to pour resin in the lid of a Yankee candle. All my alcohol ink just become one color with some splashes of white when I turned it over. What might I be doing wrong? It’s definitely a deep pour. Should I be putting a layer of resin in between my inks? Maybe give each layer time to thicken up? I’m taking the plastic ring off the lids, turning them back right side up and using them as a handle for my projects once they’re cured.

OH MY GOD! The swirly roses are midnblowing. I think the faceted mold actually adds to its beauty as it looks like flowers trapped in crystal. Awesome. Color wise, I am constantly changing but I think I am a bit on pink/red/violet phase :) And I just made a plate with alcohol ink (big one, 30cm, round) for a birthday present :)

These are both stunning pieces, thanks for sharing your skills, knowledge & techniques. I am so new to inks - all I have so far is inks, and yesterday I got a Dura-Lar pad in the post, so can’t wait to try them on that! I didn’t know about metallics, pearl & glitter inks - I have severe fomo now . . . Can I ask though, as someone who’s never even held a bottle of resin: you say the one you used wouldn’t be suitable as a hot drink coaster, so what will you do with these pieces? Do you make something else from them, or sell them as pieces of art, or as coasters but specify ‘for cold drinks only’? Are they dumb questions? 😂

They are both amazing, always love your videos. Not sure if you talked about this in one of your video's but I am having trouble cleaning Marabu inks off of brushes, it will clean with the extender but if I use 99 alcohol it gets gummy? I have been doing mostly resin so I have not looked at your painting videos with Marabu inks I should have looked for those first. I don't have any other types of ink due to being in the Philippines. I just bought the new set and extra extenders I will have it shipped to my daughter in the States, I will be there in Jan. Hoping the pandemic is not so bad, it is scary to travel.

Myriam, absolutely amazing, I am blown away with all this. I am using resins and mica powder tints for lids on timber jewellery boxes, combined with timber burls. What I am findiing difficult is when I use two different mica powders and try to get a nice swirly effect, to keep the two colours separated as much as possible.
