I have watched the movie Ghosts of Missisipi so many times and I can't believe what a great woman you are. That man Beckwith did not suffer anywhere near what he deserved. Thanks for showing your great courage and perseverance.

Evil always get its just deserts, no one will ever remember Byron Beckwith but Meager Evers just like Martin Luther king will be remembered for eternity with all the love, aspirations, and goodness that comes human been who became a martyr for the good of people. When you are evil you return to the dust unrecognized and no one will care or remember your name without shame even relatives will not claim you fear of being judged, evil has no glory.

As I lay in a hotel tonight in Jackson MS, Ghosts of Mississippi is one of my favorite movies. I live in MS. I have driven by Mr. Evers home. I know exactly where it is. I remember when the third trial happened. I was in my 20’s and didn’t understand all of it at the time but wow, i understand now. God bless Myrlie Evers Williams and her entire family for fighting for justice.

What a remarkable woman! Articulate, intelligent and extremely poised, what an inspiration she is to myself and others. She had to stand up as a warrior for her peace of mind. My question is, where are all the warriors who will stand fearlessly questioning every unsavory detail. Warriors who will fight for integrity sake, have we given up the fight throwing up our hands waving the white flag in defeat? No matter what the fight maybe, have we given up hope?

Mrs. Evers-Williams is the picture of beauty and grace. She is the essence and representation of what most black women are not and/or no longer aspiring to be. Yet, today's black woman says, somehow what they have become is the black man's fault. Hats off to you, Mrs. Evers-Williams.

I saw For US the Living...Irene Cara was great as Mrs. EVER...But I can't imagine when she found Medgar dying in front of her and her children...But thankfully Byron Beckwith was found guilty and I hope she is doing well at 88 or 89....she was beautiful almost 60 years ago and she is beautiful now.
