Dude your life is just amazing. I’ve been checking out a lot of your videos from several months back before the high cost of gas and stuff. But hey it is what it is. I’m just about ready to embark on my nomadic life and hit all the places that you’ve been I’ve made marks on my iPhone in Google maps. I will tour all of the places you’ve been. I like how you Boundock most of the time, I will purchase the New Mexico state pass for camping. I’m 63 years old so I will get the seniors national park pass too. I only wish I had a little scamp like you but you cannot procure one no matter how much money you have because they are all spoken for for the foreseeable future and that’s sad because I only want something small like you have. I will stay in the back of my 4Runner until something crosses my path. 😎

That sandy area is a great swimming spot when it's hot. It's fed from an underground salt water river. We used to go over there about 15 years ago in our camper. The best sites are 24, 25, and 26. They are pull through and right by the water. They used to have trees around them but I haven't been there in a long time to see if they still do. You can rent paddle boats, paddle boards etc to use on the lake.

Those "bottomless" lakes are really sinkholes, some of them are 90' deep, some are shallower. I think there were seven of them, we stayed there once to avoid a strong incoming storm... back when they didn't require reservations. The park we stayed at had a host that could tell you what sites were open. Neat place to stay. But now, when we are around Roswell, we stay at the BLM area, Haystack Mtn, out Hy 70N. But no hookups, just toilets & table shelters. We're still taking care of mother in law. be ot that way when we can. You & Little Man be safe..

Phones work on Cellular network (which are bi-directional) and your probably getting TV over the air (broadcast … one way) … those are two different wireless protocols and the antennas are in different locations. Sometimes you’ll get one and not the other depending on your location relative to the antennas. If you are in a situation like this, where you can’t get a TV signal but you have cellular and you want to watch football you can watch it on Amazon Prime streaming over cellular (assuming you are a prime member). You would watch on your phone or maybe your laptop if you use your phone as a hotspot (there are ways to get that up on your TV from a cell connection but too long winded for this comment). Just be aware if you have unlimited data or if you have data caps on your cell plan because streaming will consume quite a bit of data. There are other TV services you can stream over data networks (like cellular), however they all require a subscription and you might not want that cost. Hope that helps. If you want me to DM you just let me know.
@myscamptraveltraileradvent12303 жыл бұрын
Thanks and yes it help ped I do have unlimited on my phone 4 G......but my Hotspot Verizon I only have 100 GB. Hate to burn them up.......but my phone screen is pretty small. I have heard You can run your phone into your TV. Will have to figure that out.Thanks again!!👍
@agonizedturtle3 жыл бұрын
@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 John - I double checked and Amazon Prime only broadcasts Thursday night football. If you want to stream football it’s likely either a streaming service (Hulu+, KZbin TV, Sling etc) or using your cable provider app (Cox, Spectrum, Xifinity) depending on what you have in Virginia, if you have cable. All of those have a cost. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. The way to get streaming on your TV would be getting a stick/dongle (Roku, KZbin TV, Amazon Fire whatever) and plugging it into an available HDMI port in the back of your TV. From there you need to connect it to your Wi-Fi broadcasting device. In your case, your phone by enabling the personal hotspot or your Verizon Hotspot device. Either of those are taking in the Cell signal and then rebroadcasting as a Wi-Fi signal … and you hook up your streaming to stick to that Wi-Fi signal. Anyway, that’s probably more than you wanted to know. But I hope it helps…. And it’s pretty cool 😂👍🏼 … Enjoy your time out there.

Your rooftop antenna will only pick up broadcast TV over the airwaves from nearby cities. You may just be out of range. Your internet will most likely come from nearby campground WIFI. The two signals just ain't the same. If the campground has a cable or satellite TV connection on your site, then you need to be connected to that with the necessary wire.
