I realize these are older vids, but you are literally so helpful. My pre calc teacher is useless and the way you explain the concepts just really helps me understand it. THANK YOU 👏

Why did you divide pi/2 by 4 when you can just move it over pi/2 instead of over complicating things by moving it pi/8 at 14:14

At 10:50 I don't understand why you made it negative?
@scarlettmartinez84385 жыл бұрын
Milene da Silva because the original equation is Asin(bx-c)+d you have to make it c a negative, just like the original equation. And the same thing for d, if it’s negative you have to make it a positive since d in the original equation is positive. Hope that made sense.😊

great video, it really explained a lot for me but one thing i have a problem with is, wouldn't you move the phase shift horizontally to the right being that it is negative 3pi/2?

10:13 why did he make c negative?
@leochao25946 жыл бұрын
since the original equation has a negative sign in front of c, if it appears positive, the phase shift is negative.

16:24 would it be wrong if i would divide 5pi/8 by 2 to get the halfway point?

Sounds like a great idea, especially to get a few key points to start the graph. :^D
@vintagesparkles42893 жыл бұрын
thank you sir, this made perfect sense!!! how my precalc teacher instructed us, is he would have us do the graph of 4sinx first for a problem like 4sinx + 3pi/2. then he would have us do the left shift of 3pi/2 by having us move all the points of the 4sinx graph to the left.... (we were not introduced c/d for some reason!?) it is very tedious and time-consuming in my opinion compared to your easy method and i will utilize it on the test tomorrow :^) hope you're well!

I dont understand how did he add the pies? someone help.
@MySecretMathTutor5 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard. I'm assuming you mean at 11:53. To add these pi's you want to find a common denominator. This is where the 2pi becomes 4pi/2. The top and bottom was multiplied by 2. Now with a common denominator, the tops can be added strait across.
