Karnataka has the best long distance tra el buses. Volvo are the state of the art hi tech buses and offer the utmost comfort to travellers. Only minor things are being highlighted which is not correct. KSRTC Volvo is excellent with experienced drivers and conductors. Always love to travel with them.

Yes we have traveled at this route in 2008 with family from Mysore to Ooty by KSRTC. Many good places are at the route like Nanjangud temple (Daxin ki kashi) 1000 yr old shiva temple, Chamrajnagar Bandipur national park MUDDUMALAI national park. Shafty pin turning iis adventures. From ooty never forget to travel heritage train from ooty.

You were lucky that you travelled in a government bus ,had you taken a private car and that too with Karnataka registration the security staff on the TN side would have searched your vehicle as if you have come straight from Pakistan.
