Ambaari named after the carrier placed on the leading elephant during the elephant procession of Mysore Dasara, is similar in its model and design to that of London big bus. The open-roof hop-on hop-off double-decker buses, the city’s newest tourist attraction, are providing a new platform for experiencing and exploring the royal city’s heritage wonders.The frequency set for the bus service is half an hour. The fare is set at Rs 250 per person.
The bus route covers Hotel Mayura KSTDC office, Deputy Commissioner’s office, Crawford Hall, Kukkarahalli Lake, University of Mysore, Ramaswamy Circle, Jayamarthanda Gate of the palace, zoo, Karanji Lake, Jockey Quarters’ Circle, Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Bannimantap, and City Railway Station. The tour culminates at Hotel Mayura KSTDC office.
