Hello. Can you explain how to find current root password. Before I use mysql but in another time I unistall it. now I am using again. but in the step Account and Roles, system show current root password not new user/pass. thanks

You stated that % covers "every address except for localhost". So % is almost a wildcard but not quite? At least you talk about the % -- I've watched several tutorials on Grant and no one even mentions it or explains why a host has anything to do with a user name. It's kind of strange that a host client IP is somehow part of a user identity. I still don't understand that.
