I may be influenced by all the theory videos i've seen, but I feel he'll be kind of like Syndrome from The Incredibles, as stated in the video. Conjures up the monsters so he can 'Save the day" and get all the fame the Avengers have. Kind of like how Peter felt in Homecoming; Wanting to be a hero. But there's nobody for Mysterio to fight so he conjures them up himself. Would be a perfect mirror image of Spiderman. Which is the recipe for a great antagonist. He might go from hero to villain, or maybe an anti-hero of sorts. With the movie ending with him seeing the error of his ways but still passionate about his own ambitions. The new Loki. Either way I know he'll be amazing. Amazing actor so I hope he's a recurring character

I think Peter cares more about the meaning behind Uncle Ben’s suitcase than having something he doesn’t need to carry. I imagine it would be a point of pride to have Ben’s suitcase in hand. Plus, he’s Spider-Man. Carrying one and pulling one on wheels wouldn’t feel very different to him, strength-wise.

My theory is that the Thanos snap split the Marvel continuity into two. One where one half exists, and the one where the other half exists. That explains the presence of Nick, who got snapped, and the absence of Tony. Thanos exists in the snap in which Tony exists. So in this Marvel universe it is the present day but without the main timeline heroes. (It would also mean that Pepper and Happy got snapped too). I find it more interesting that the Absorber seems to be in Europe, but this time a real, good Absorber. Not the one we got in the Hulk movies.

That would be so weird (in a good way). I would actually be pretty entertained by that, but I have a feeling it would be too complicated for a studio to actually run with. I mean, it could work within a single movie, but definitely not over multiple parallel stories. It is already confusing enough to most people that Fox and Sony make Marvel movies that aren't part of the MCU, so having Marvel Studios make two separate MCUs would probably annoy a lot of their audience.

I like your plot prediction, sounds pretty promising. But I still STRONGLY believe that this film will take place BEFORE Infinity War. It would still match up with Peter owning up being Spider-Man (that's why he decides to grab on to the spaceship and go to Titan in IW), and OBVIOUSLY he would still be in high school. I've seen some theories that the bus were we first saw Peter in IW is the same bus returning from the Europe field trip. I think that might be it. Besides, they're all PRETTY calm for having just returned into existence/ having watched half the people around them cornflake into ash, seemingly not too long ago, right? I'm aware I might be completely wrong, but I still stand for what I believe. I think they'll pull an "Ant-Man and the Wasp" with this film. As for why Tony Stark is nowhere to be seen in the trailer, I think the editors intentionally left his scenes out so that people such as yourselves could speculate and assume that this is post-Endgame ;) But AGAIN, I know as much as everyone else: pretty much nothing beyond the trailer.

Sony execs have said it comes out after endgame, and it says in the trailer that it's a summer trip, probably some form of prize for winning the academic team thing in the first movie. And I'm sure when they rescued everyone, they did something so they wouldn't remember dying. That would probably be pretty traumatic so the mind stone with the gauntlet might be used to make people forget that.

@@addisongrace7337 Basically a Hero who has his own moral center and may even skirt the law to punish worse villains. Tricksters still fit this for me as well like Loki who is mostly bad but also sometimes good. Batman and Deadpool are popular Anti-Heroes.

@@addisongrace7337 it's okay 😊 an anti-hero is basically the antagonist, or opposite of 'our story's hero', however with the caveat that they usually have some redeeming quality that humanizes them, or allows you, as a view, to sympathize a bit and therefore. Makes it a hit harder to view them as an outright villain or bad guy. Some might Argue that Thanos in IW had an anti-hero thing going on, but that's a whole other debate. I'd say Killmonger and Loki are the best examples of anti-heros I've seen in the MCU thus far albeit Loki started out as straight villainous, then slowly came around to being an anti hero, AND his MCU story was recently retconned to say he was being heavily influenced by thanos. So, perfect anti-hero in Loki in my humble opinion.

@@addisongrace7337 it's okay 😊 an anti-hero is basically the antagonist, or opposite of 'our story's hero', however with the caveat that they usually have some redeeming quality that humanizes them, or allows you, as a view, to sympathize a bit and therefore. Makes it a hit harder to view them as an outright villain or bad guy. Some might Argue that Thanos in IW had an anti-hero thing going on, but that's a whole other debate. I'd say Killmonger and Loki are the best examples of anti-heros I've seen in the MCU thus far albeit Loki started out as straight villainous, then slowly came around to being an anti hero, AND his MCU story was recently retconned to say he was being heavily influenced by thanos. So, perfect anti-hero in Loki in my humble opinion.

What if Peter was on his way to his field trip on the bus in infinity war but he had to help defeat thanos. However in this movie that did not happen as in endgame time travel is going to be the solution to defeating thanos. Therefore none of that happened leading to this movie. So this is during infinity war but there was no infinity war!

*What if,* after End Game, they turn back time and bend reality using the stones, bringing the good and normal people back to life, leaving the criminals and villains dead, or already in captivity. It could be possible that they erased all recent events before the Snap from civilian's memories using the mind stone or something similar, and maybe all the people that died during the Snap forgot all the recent events before hand, such as Peter and his role in the battle on Titan. That could explain why they're all in high school, the time the movie is taking place (the passport year) is hidden: the Snap and Infinity War are being kept hidden and a secret, and that also explains why nobody is tense or wary after the Snap. Nick Fury could remember what happened, or at least sort of, (enough to recruit Peter or whatever he was doing) because he was briefed on it by other's that _did_ remember (probably the main Avengers). Another addition, this would be why Peter is reluctant to be Spiderman - he knows _something_ happened, and would rather not risk anything. He just doesn't know what. Just a theory. Agree for the most part. Mysterio did likely create these creatures, but Spider-Man was probably never on his radar. He just wanted to appear as a hero and Peter ends up accidentally ruining that plan, which would be why he'd want to take him down
