“Morbid curiosity,” LoL! What a thing to say in a cemetery!! I think that I wouldn’t mind that door they had on the newer mausoleum. Very pretty. It’s too bad that so many cemeteries have been vandalized to the point where people feel the need to seal up their loved ones to keep them safe.

Usually when a place is sealed up as such. Its been damaged to severely, or a key was lost maybe, so last entombment in the structure was the true last.. so they sealed it up

Also, if no one in the family is paying for the upkeep of the mausoleum, the cemetery can legally keep it boarded up in this way, preventing further vandalism and reducing maintenance.

I watch a lot of exploration vids, and across the board the thing that scares all of them most, whether they are in a 'haunted' area, or just wandering the woodlands.....other people. They'll run straight to noises, shadows, wispy white things, but a human and its full on "I'm outta here!!" I find that fascinating.

Mr. Humphrey Robison Wagar was born in Summit county, Ohio, June 4, 1835. Hi Matt, is this a reupload ??.Saw this footage already in an episode from this month. But enjoy the mausoleums you showed to us. The Wagar & Libhart one stands out from the memorials around it. Beautiful in detail, architecture ( Greek / Roman style ) and most of all the used material ( marble (?)).Added to that the statue on top of it.It almost looks new, but actually 100+ years old.Shame that it is sealed, must have had great looking doors.8.19 might have been a beautiful stained glass window but sadly also bricked up.The one from the Skoog family is newer but also in Greek style (3.58)The mausoleum from the ""Schmoltz "" family is also bricked up ( vandalism, keeping curious people out or no living relative left ).Guess the doors were combination of glass &metal, window on the side (2.54) stained glass or glass art from German artist ( family originates from Germany).Hope you get permission to visit the large mausoleum Matt, must be interesting, maybe valuable used materials/ items inside ( reason for locking it).Thanks for sharing, really enjoy this graveyard/ cemetery series.Thumbs up !!.take care & stay safe while travelling Matt.

There is a haunting feel about this place,, id wanna research it more to figure out why. Why are crypts or mosuleum structures sealed or hidden? Whats the big idea unless.. the family did it due to folklore or something really horrendous happened lets say 50 60 yrs ago once again teens were making stories
