I was intially hyped and hopeful that Ohma would use advance this chapter, but now I'm glad he didn't. At least it was brought up why he didn't use it yet, and to top that off, it's good to see that Ohma is not heavily relying on advance too much so that he can become a better fighter without it. I think we have seen a bit too many transformation abilities, I think Ohma not using the advance allows us to see Ohma as the base power line as a fighter, the other Advance and Removal users showed that the those Techniques are not enough to defeat your opponent, it does make me wonder how Rolón would stand against those fighters.

Dude ohma is now a better fighter... he shouldn't have to use advance... plus advance is a technique he did not learn from his original mentor.. so I think he will do everything he can to limit the use or if he does use it he will use it at a lower level so that it does not interfere using other technique. Advanced was a technique to counter the removal right? Is the removal technique something the Kure clan are able to use? If not, i wonder if ohma would be able to use it

The Kure techniques are a massive buff tbh.. He has been fighting somewhat evenly against a Kuroki level opponent in Lolong pretty much only using Kure techniques, and the first named Niko style technique he used did significant damage. I think Lolong is definitely going to have another gear or two so I expect to see some more Niko style stuff from Ohma next chapter maybe even some new stuff.

When I read the chapter I thought exactly what you said in 2:54. Lolong is described as such an amazing Worm hunter, but he didn't noticed that several members of his team were Worms. I am gonna say tho, I did enjoy Ohma using the Kure abilities, atleast until the copy one because the other Techniques relied on movements and specific conditions to be triggered but the copy one is just plain weird, because I am not clear on how Ohma can Imitate someone's else bone movements unless he got the Yujiro eyes. And while I think its good that he wasnt able to copy it fully, I do think the effect of the Technique should have been more minimal.

They have refined the discernment of movement and have a logical reflection schema in determining how the viewed technique was performed. It’s interesting how the Kure’s have a system which values observation as a pre-requisite for action.

I think the technique ohma used is the same as the snake fighter nitoku fought, the one where it’s said it was a counter to pre-initiative (forgot what it’s called) where they basically “send out” their “intent/soul” something like that for a few milliseconds to throw off a master of pre-initiative. For me it makes sense why koga might know what ohma did. I guess the reason why ohma knows is simply because as rolon said, that ohma might have a higher combat sense. Or maybe it’s another kure technique that’s similar.
