Neat "Iron Chef" approach to an art project! That was a pretty tough assortment. At Blick, we spend a lot of time imagining all the possible combinations of thousands of art materials. Experiments like this just go to show, making art is a mental challenge as well as a test of skills! To put it another way, making art makes you smarter!

hey! I'm stressing out a bit right now because on monday I'll hold a little lecture in art class about watercolors! They are one of my special interests. my art teacher does not have any experiences with them, I've talked about them to her before and since they are the new topic in art class she gave me the opportunity to teach my class everything about them they need to know! I'm currently documenting my usual watercolor process to present to them. I'm painting grapes, since that's what we are doing in class, but aaah I just don't know what informations to include. what parts are actually interesting and which parts are just interesting to ME? do they need to know about different types of paper, as they are only going to get to use one type anyway? how am I going to structure the lesson? aaaaaaah but I'm super excited, I can finally talk about my special interest and it's going to be a cool experience anyway since I'm contemplating becoming an art teacher. Wish me luck I guess? also, love the video!!

good luck! it sounds cool. maybe you could talk about different techniques, like wet on wet, using salt, etc as well

I would remember to include that you work light to dark and talk about the transparency being a good thing. Letting things dry all the way to achieve good layering rather than mud. Remember experimenting is a good thing and have fun! Good luck!🍀 ❤

Definitely include paper types. it's super important with watercolors and can change the feeling of the finished piece. If you're looking for advice I think demonstrating and talking about it while you're going is the best way to show others your thought process and approach. Just my opinion. And don't worry, you're gonna crush it! I'm rusty with watercolors myself and kinda wish I could join 😂
