I just want the easiest life possible doing this job, so If a job does not fulfil this criteria, its doesn't get added to my round. simple as that 1. All windows, can be done WFP from the ground with an 18ft Gardiners Extreme pole 2. Is a x1 van stop job, no moving van to do the rear. 3. House has good access (no work on busy roads,no double yellows, no parking issues) and all round access to the property (no houses having customers have to be in to let you through garage) 3. GoCardless Direct Debit is in place for payment prior to starting 4. Never doing walk up customers same day, leave GoCardless details with them, once I see payment method is in place, I will book you in for next week (GC weeds the one-offs out) 5. Regular ongoing monthly/bi-monthly cleans (@+25% premium), no one off cleans 6. I don't take on upstairs flats, unless both up and downstairs done together. Surprising, how many of these you can get when you explain to client upsetting downstairs, get the customer to canvass downstairs for YOU and get you the job! 6. The customer doesn't have any "messer" sort of personal traits that set the spidey senses off in-person/phone or emails 7. All my work is external domestic window cleans only on 'normal' houses no footballers glass palaces/mcmansions. No adds ons, internal work, gutter cleaning, UPVC cleans, sofits. Only deal with customer queries when you are in front of PC with access to your cleaner planner app, GoogleStreetView & "Right Move Completed" houses sales. Any calls you receive through the day when working, say "i'm out on job at the moment, can you text me through the address and I'll get back to you at the end of the day" once you've sussed the property and see if it suits your criteria. Also don't be afraid to say, you are nearly full / have a near complete round. It shows you are wanted, popular and YOU are in demands with others. If your Facebook reviews & Google reviews back up & give you reputation. They will be happy to wait for your call back, if they have found you YOU are the one, who can help them. "if i can, i will try to find you a spot around my other work" "if i can fit you in with other work in your area" " im at a point where im at near capacity now, the only new work I take on is where its immediately next to current clients I have" "i really want to be cutting back on work, not taking more on " once you know what you are dealing with, if the job doesn't then fulfil YOUR own works criteria YOU work to, you can let them down gently by saying "sadly i cant accommodate, sadly it is no close to any other existing work we have" Refer them to another local cleaner you may know who isn't as fussy and takes on ALL work" you might even get a drink of of it Does this get me every job? NO, it is close to 1 in 6 jobs I will take on. Does this solves all customers needs? absolutely not, does that make me the worlds best window cleaner? absolutely NOT, jeez i wont even get up a ladder now, why? don't need to. Don't even have a set on the van now. For every job that needed a ladder to do the window over the garage, is told that window doesn't get done or is replaced with a house that doesn't have a window above the garage. Glass is EVERYWHERE ! you DONT have to do EVERY job that comes your way. But they are taken on on MY terms, i want the easiest life possible. YOU sticking to YOUR guns, makes you have a round where no job is ever a chore, no job is a pain, i'm just under 300 customers now, more than enough for one man, who just likes the easy life cleaning. If i take a new job on now, great. If i miss out in it ....m'ah, so be it. How many more do i really want over 300?

Nice set of rules, 300 customers is just a number, if its 300 that are every 2 weeks, great, but 300 every 6 weeks, merh, not so great. Anyway good luck

Hi Ashley, nice surprise to receive goodies in the Mail ... tip I high buildings I extend the first 3 pole sections about 2/3rds of the way...this stiffens up the pole and more control, I also only use the 12inch brush. More control and less fatigue and more responsive on the glass especially when it's windy ..also I don't use the up down shoulder and arm methods, I .. I extend my arms and shoulders in a comfortable position and locked position and rock my body back and forth using heels and toes methods , this way you can also increase pressure in the glass... give a shot see what you think.. keep up your good work..cheers brother 👍👍
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 4 жыл бұрын
FlashTechEngineering Nice. I know what you mean about the rocking. I was actually getting sore feet a bit when I first started wfp. That’s a good tip about not extending the first couple of sections fully, but some of the top ones I had to have it extended as far as it would go so that I could reach!😃👍🏼
@FlashTechEngineering
@FlashTechEngineering 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashley yeh the motion is heal and toe rocking front and back feet in a fixed position.. I also rinse on the glass.. another tip is when you want a rest up a bit .. to rinse. Is rest your pole on the ground and using the instep of your foot to rest the pole against and rotating the pole side to side to rinse you can raise to pole off the glass or on the glass to rinse.. work smarter not harder..👍👍
@FlashTechEngineering
@FlashTechEngineering 4 жыл бұрын
Hi bro.. depending on the quality of the pole you are using.. first section 1/4 extended. 2 section 1/2 way and section 3. 3/4 extended More stiffer less stress on pole sections and less flex 😜👍

Awesome video. Flats like that I have to say no to simply because of the other flats below. As you clean dirty windows the dirt falls off on to windows below. So me personally I would have to trend carefully. Unless you have tips

Nick Cutting The best show is the Cleaning Expo which is next scheduled for the 12th of September 2020. There is also a cleaning show which alternates between London and Manchester in the summer, but there isn’t quite as much window cleaning stuff at that one.😃👍🏼

spend more time on the glass scrubbing, lifting a 65ft + pole off the glass to rinse is hard, easy

Its ChocolateBoy to rinse I put the pole on the ground using my inside foot instep as a stop and as a guide.. you can do slight twist rotation of the pole to rinse ezy as. Better on your body 👍

@9407csabi
@9407csabi 4 жыл бұрын
You can't rinse on glass with pencil jets in the middle, windows will not be clean. It's not possible, regardless of bristles. Only thing that you will be able to rinse on glass is with Reach-iT constructor brush. Check it out on futureofcleaning.com
@FlashTechEngineering
@FlashTechEngineering 4 жыл бұрын
9407csabi I do it all the time. Sorry mate you are wrong. .4 pencil jets on a 12 inch brush better rinse per square inch ratios on brush head .. I use 3.5 to 4.0 litres per minute the water is a rapidly sheeting of the glass. Add in hot water at 70 degrees at brush head bristles and the hot water smashes the dirt away It's all about moving the water off the glass and not being so tight on your water .. I don't care about slow v rinse time is money get in and get out ..😜👍

@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 4 жыл бұрын
Christopher Hawthorne The system is great, but it is a bit border line with the water. It depends what work we are doing but we have to be careful how much we use if we want it to last all day. I will have to do a video about it.😃👍🏼

A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services Two men you need 850 litres from my experience 650 one man should be fine
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you are probably about right there. I find that if both brushes are on 1.4mm pencil jets and uni-valves we can just about make it last. If we have a conservatory roof or fascia job I will plug it in and fill whilst doing those. But if I can break up the day with a couple of Trad jobs then I feel much more comfortable about the water lasting.😃👍🏼

A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services that’s interesting. I would have thought that would make it harder to hold. Wollef der Fensterputzer There is plenty of pressure on the brush just with the natural weight of the pole and the flex combined with the angle you’re standing at. Plus the DuPont bristles are quite soft so you don’t need a lot of pressure.😃👍🏼
