Instead they just give them right to you. Ultra Wormholes and the legendaries in OrAs were nice, but it isn't the same as Liberty Garden and New Moon Island.

I remember doing the Arceus event in HGSS and actually the way to activate the event was to bring over a specific mystery gift Arceus they were giving away for a limited time to promote the 12th movie with Arceus. I believe it was known as “Tru” Arceus

I received a legitimate Arceus from a Toys R Us event on my Platinum version ages ago. Just recently I discovered the Arceus event within HGSS, and realized that this entire time I had every piece of the puzzle to make this event happen. Truly a satisfying experience being able to travel to the Sinjoh Ruins, speak with Cynthia, and obtain the beast of my choosing (I chose Palkia). Not to mention the insanely cool cutscene!

The thought of how these events were just completely rare considering how dense some of us were back then it has such a weird but unique feel to it, it is probably that more mysterious feeling we get when playing pokemon, in our mind its telling us it should be the same everywhere but for some reason it all just felt... unique to us, it's a really crazy feeling because I just woke up today with the nostalgia hitting me so hard I can literally almost cry missing my childhood years again, for some reason even when being completely lonely there were just certain things like the games, apps and animes that would just make me feel okay, who would've thought we'd be missing these feelings all these years later.

The trade over with the shiny legendary dog trio reminded me of something extremely similar. If you sent over a celebi from heartgold/soulsilver and talk to the same person who would be the Zoruark, the child next to them would turn into a Zorua and you had a chance to the that pokemon then. There was actually 2 Arceus events for DPPT back then, each of them could do the Sinjoh Ruins Event. That along with the Hall of Origin Arceus you could get with the DNS Exploit/An Action Replay could let you get all three of the things.

You can get the wifi events right now. I just brought entei to pokemon Y and used him as one of my mains to beat the game. I got almost all of these events, including access to the pichu one because you can get events in the sinnoh games right now as well. The only one I couldn’t get is the arceus one even though I think you can get the azure flute. This is as of May 2020

Honestly it's such a shame we longer have event pokemon like in the older games. I've gotten the Shiny Raikou in SoulSilver during the Zoroark movie event I believe, as well as several online event mons in later games. Did do the DNS Exploit recently though to relive some of those events, as well as get event mons I've never gotten, including getting the Azure Flute and bringing the Arceus to the Sinjoh Ruins. They may not be counted as "legitimate" in the eyes of some people, but it's really cool nonetheless. Do eventually want to try to shiny hunt a Hall of Origin Arceus though.

The shiny beasts were for all gen 4 games. And you needed to transfer them over using the relocator. Same with the special Celebi.

The SinJoh ruins event didn’t work with any arceus, it had to be a special event one they distributed back then, lv 100 and in Cherish Ball. It was the only distribution for arceus back then, but it was distributed all over the world so most likely a lot of people did this event. It wasn’t that rare at all.

You can actually still access these mystery gift events from gen 4 and gen 5. It’s not hard to accomplish either and technically they aren’t illegal either. If you search it up on KZbin there’s ton of tutorial on how to access old events to this day

As a kid back then, my dad bought me Pokémon Diamond for my birthday, which was hacked without him knowing. It came with an Arceus so you know I just had to transfer it to Soul Silver. I remember doing very single one of them and honestly most of them I did blind like the Arceus one, in my Pokémon diamond i had revived an Acreus from a Toys R us event that they were doing and I transferred that over to heart hold and I guess I was just wandering around Heartgold with my arceus so happening being my walking Pokémon and I go in into the ruins and bam event triggered i was like 10 or 12 so I had no clue what was going on I even did the pichu one as well but I believe I had saw a video for that one so I knew what to do and everything else was kinda simple thankfully my older brother had soul silver and was able to drove too so he always took me to all these events with me

All the Mystery Gifts involved have actually been preserved on a fan server and you can still get them by setting up the right internet connection on a DS (doesn't work on DSi, I think).

A correction for the first event: each of the beasts where over the span of 3 months at a GameStop event. You also only needed one at the very least to access Zoroark. You also missed the Celebi event where you not only time traveled but you could also bring it to Black and White and get Zorua

Most of these events are still accessible without the use of Action Replay. There is a method to connect your DS to a bootleg server that hosts them all & all your need is an unencrypted WiFi connection (android phone hotspot with security settings disabled works a treat) & your original hardware. I've just started a new Platinum playthrough and have a Rotom Mow on my team as I missed the event back in the day. There are in depth guides on KZbin for anyone looking to access these events.

I'm so glad I had these games and wifi as a kid. I managed to do all of these events at the time, including ones not covered in this video. I managed to get a legitimate Arceus through the US toys R us event sometime after platinum came out and had it for years. I also got the Celebi to time travel and fight Giovanni, and then transfer to BW to turn a boy into a zorua. Older events used to be something else. If only I did not miss most of the gen 5 ones.

There were 3 legit event arceus distributed. One was specifically for the Sinjo ruins. You could get one from the dream world website in black and white. One was given out for diamond and pearl. And one was in platinum I think a gamestop giveaway. It was at the same time the special regigigas for platinum was given away.

I heard that I can use public wifi that does not require me to sign or log in and pair it up with my new 2ds xl. I have another question once I connect and receive the wonder card, if I leave the public wifi will my Pokémon or item still wait for me at the pokemart? Oh and on my iPhone, there is a setting to configure the DNS and I have the ability to change the automatic to manual and it gives me the chance to manually add a DNS server. Will it do anything if I add the Primary DNS server to the IP; 164-132-44-106?

I have a ligit Arcius in DP from Toys R Us, but it wasnt the miasing event. It was just the pokemon with no fun little quest. I remember this well because my friends gotnit too and at the time i was confused at to why mine was way weaker thar theirs.

I recall getting an Arceus by using mystery gift in front of a GameStop (might have been EB Games at the time) at launch day (Sweden) it was level 1 and possibly golden. Too bad I lost the cartridge and I cant find anything about this mystery gift event online.
