My dog passed on Oct 9th from this. She was less than 2 years old and I put her on strict vaccine schedule cause she had history of kennel cough. She was occasionally coughing for 4 days, slightly lethargic but walking and playing as usual.. then on sunday night, she started breathing funny at 3 am and she died on the emergency room bed at 9am. I didn’t expect it at all even at 7am, went to work and told my husband to try to walk into a vet. The vet referred her out immediately to emergency room apparently. She died of acute onset of pneumonia and high fever (prob from infection). Vet noticed bleeding from lungs which is uncommon with pneumonia I’m still devastated and blame myself for taking her to dog park a week before. Please pretend this is dog COVID and just quarantine your dog. My dog was very very young and healthy.

My 13 y/o Jack Russell/chihuahua was hit with lethargy, no eating, trouble breathing. She was fine a few weeks prior showed no signs of aging besides some cloudiness in her eyes and some arthritis in her knees from time to time. But would run and play as normal. Vet said it looked like pneumonia in her lungs, was put on IV antibiotics and oral antibiotics. Was even prescribed entyce to try to get her to eat and was told without more $$ to run more extensive tests we just need to give the antibiotics time to work. 6 days after she first showed signs of being sick she passed away in my arms at night. My heart was shattered. It wasn’t her time to go. About a month later my 12 y/o chihuahua passed away in the middle of the night after having a seizure for about 5 minutes. She suffered from seasonal allergies and did have the CHF cough, but nothing out of her normal cough she’d get. She was her normal happy self (besides being sad about her sister passing), she was eating and drinking as normal. Absolutely no signs of anything wrong and no history of seizures. I lost both my girls a month apart. Neither of them went out in the public. No one brought their animals over here. We do have a lot of wild critters where I live, so maybe they contacted something that way. I’ve read things online about people saying something is going around and taking our dogs out. Respiratory wise. I questioned myself for weeks. Maybe if I had more money they would still be here with me today. But keep your furbabies close. It’s been 6 months and I still cry and miss my babies. ❤️🩹 I miss them so so much.

Three days later she stopped eating...but still drank water and went outside to play.. so I changed her food and gave her some roasted chicken. This was on a Friday. By Monday morning...she was still drinking water and eating her favorite anti hip pain treats...but seemed off. I rushed her in Monday morning. I wonder if what my dog had was this illness. He was updated with ALL his shots but still caught it somehow. He kept coughing nonstop like he was choking on something. We took him to emergency and was misdiagnosed as allergy. Then we took him to another vet and they said he caught the cold/flu. He got steroids and recovered. This was a few months ago before the report of the mysterious illness. Also my dog is really isolated. No dog parks, no boarding, no interaction with any other dog except mysteriously he said hi to a neighbor's dog and the symptoms appeared a few days later. Also the neighbor's dog is a frequent social butterfly that always goes to the dog parks. Overall, the point is even if your dogs are updated on ALL his shots, they can get it from another dog.

I have 2 dogs in SC that had this. They don't go to kennels or the dog park. One dog interacted with the neighbor's dog and both are walked on commonly walked sidewalks and paths. They each had it for almost 6 weeks although the 2nd one had started with symptoms almost 2 weeks after the 1st one and may be going a little longer than 6 weeks, she is about 9 years old. The 1st dog to contract it is abiut 6 yrs old and interacted with the neighbor's dog. 2-3 weeks into the illness was the scariest when they struggled to breathe through their nose. When they coughed, I patted the sides of their chest to try to loosen the phlegm. When they struggled to breath, I stroked them and spoke softly to them in order to keep all of us calm. The other dog would come up to the one struggling, snout to snout to also provide comfort. Initial onset symptoms: cough-cough-gag, fluctuating eating between light and normal, sleeping more than normal on some days, still engaging in play, walks, socializing, oddly ... sneezing that they notmally did on a daily basis stopped. Peak Symptoms: fluctuating levels of cough-cough-gag with saliva and/or phlegm, occassional fever, difficulty breathing=long deep inhales through the nose that sounded congested, continues for up to a few minutes, continued increased sleeping, playing is shorter, still doing walks willingly but I took a couple of days off from walking for myself, sleep deprived from their breathing issues and coughing fits. Sneezing returned due to runny nose and runny eyes. 2nd dog sneezed yellow mucous a couple of times. Recovering symptoms: much less cough-cough-gag, occurs mostly in morning and evening, still with saliva and possibly phlegm, difficulty breathing is less frequent but occurs during sleep or shortly after waking, all symptoms fluctuate where they appear almost recovered then setback the next day for a day or two then appears recovered again, this went on for a few weeks, sleeping back to normal, no more fevers, play level returns, still walks and socializes. Stopping during walks to let the 2nd dog catch their breath when having difficulty breathing. I hope for everyone's sake the virus has become less life threatening. I was scared for my girls and didnt put them on antibiotics thinking this is viral even if the 2nd one may have developed a bacterial infection. Neither dog was ever lethargic. The 2nd dog to contract it is still recovering but much better.

@@ThatGirl-tg7wd The other possibility is that it's a spinoff from an older variant that's more species-specific. In general, though, yeah -- you've got to hope the CDC is doing a lot more behind the scenes than the current political environment might allow.
@ThatGirl-tg7wd Жыл бұрын
they are not doing anything behind the scenes. I worked the covid response for 3 states with direct access to all CDC developments and they stopped concentrating on this effort after Trump pushed the narrative that its just a cold, and stop testing and got Red States to refuse to participate in contact tracing, case investigation , testing isolation and infectious disease control measures. its not "this administration" that is the problem. This admin was handed a problem that was already out of control as half the population was threatening violence as the health dept was asking them to cooperate and i worked 7days a week to try to get people vaccinated , instead they chose to host the virus to innumerable mutations, and now we are here. only IF you worked on the inside or know the truth about what went on from the beginning, could you truly understand what we are dealing with. People brought this upon themselves insisting on hosting the virus so all our work was wasted. The vaccines cant help a faster mutation virus that people insist on hosting to mutate no matter how fast we work on the newest ones. Indeed. I would like to know the numbers of dogs who passed and already had their shots, as opposed to ones who didn't.( This sounds vaguely familiar.) It has already been told by some veterinarians that the pets are being "over vaccinated", and it's creating more issues, actually weakening pets immune systems, rather than strengthening them. Just asking questions here.....because...we KNOW what went down with the rona and jab, so why should this be different? Again, wondering. Big pharma is not getting those MASSIVE paychecks they were getting 2 yrs ago, and whats the best way to do that NOW?......(pets) and livestock. I bet some farmers would know some extra things on this, since they've dealt with so much.....would be interesting to ask. BUT.....I HAVE TO SAY.....EVERY SINGLE WEEK....it's something ELSE....some NEW FEAR and panic thing the WEF.....HAVE to shove on us. I have NEVER seen anything like this in all my 67 years, and I've lived through some pretty harsh and difficult times.....but TODAY'S repeated chaos piled on TOP of more chaos, is MORE than just "pure coincidence".....it HAS to be, especially given what the WEF already told us. (More and more folks are also believing and saying this as well) watched an excelllent video today on this, where a former "feminist" turned away from the woke crowd after 20 yrs of being involved, when she finally SAW THE TRUTH of what was happening to us all. She was a militant one at that, well connected in high places, but one day, it finally hit her....."something just isn't RIGHT about all this", she said. And, it changed her life. Hope we can get to the bottom of this as well.

So glad someone else thought about this. It has to be something they are eating or just an increase in human distractions as the holiday season approaches and they are unintentionally forgetting to clean up vital animal spaces. (I’ve heard this is what actually causes kennel cough, since they do not clean up the urine and feces immediately the animals inhale it and it causes lung issues.)

My dog started coughing, the vet said it was Kennel cough. She got a lot of antibiotics and was quarantined for 3 weeks. Her cough never really went away. So I took her back. The vet said that her tracheae was collapsing. She got more antibiotics and cannot wear a collar for walks. She had a harness, she still manages to choke herself on the harness. She is up to date on all her shots. When I asked how this happened? I’ve never had this happen to any of my dogs before? I was told it was the cough and it just sometimes happens . Now I’m wondering if her cough could be related to this.

Many Americans, including doctors, are not very familiar with Valley Fever. This is something that occurs in a desert environment. Valley fever is a fungal infection caused by coccidioides (kok-sid-e-OY-deze) organisms. It can cause signs and symptoms such as a fever, cough and tiredness. There are cases of people traveling to AZ and similar desert environments, only to return to their homes and show symptoms in their home state where Valley Fever is not present and have doctors be clueless as to what is wrong with their patient. This has happened quite a bit in the US and Valley Fever is something that dogs can catch as well.

the fake "rescue" of so called Korean "meat" dogs that are actually being bred to sell to these rescue groups because the sellers figured out long ago that gullable American rescue groups will pay a lot more for a dog then then can sell the meat for and they are being imported into the US. Dog flu gets worrisome In the U.S., thousands of dogs have tested positive for the disease since it first appeared in the country in 2015, in Chicago. Researchers traced the Chicago outbreak to canine influenza virus circulating among dogs in South Korea. Cases of canine influenza linked to imported rescue dogs from Asia June 11, 2018 By Jennifer Fiala At Christmastime, Jessica Mantoani opened her home in San Carlos, California, to a beautiful golden retriever from South Korea in need of a foster family. Mantoani recalls feeling proud that her local rescue organization, Doggie Protective Services, aimed to save animals from Korea’s dog-meat trade by bringing them to the United States. "The dog was friendly, had a lot of energy," Mantoani said. But another, more serious, issue arose. "We noticed about two days after he arrived that he was coughing and would spit up white, goopy stuff onto the floor," she recounted. Mantoani guessed it was a mild case of kennel cough. "It didn’t seem to bother him; he had no other real symptoms," she said. Mantoani contacted the rescue group, which took the dog to be treated for an upper respiratory infection and returned him to her home. Then Mantoani's younger dog, Sheldon, stopped eating, started coughing and became lethargic. Her two elderly Jack Russell terriers, Bailey and Tildon, also became ill - gravely so. On New Year’s Day, 11-year-old Tildon began vomiting and having seizures. After a harrowing trip to the SAGE Centers for Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care in Redwood City, the dog perished. "I never thought about canine influenza," she said. "They told me the dogs from Korea were quarantined for 30 days, so I wasn't worried. I had never known a dog to have the virus, and now it seems to be everywhere." In the U.S., thousands of dogs have tested positive for the disease since it first appeared in the country in 2015, in Chicago. Researchers traced the Chicago outbreak to canine influenza virus circulating among dogs in South Korea. Outbreaks appear to peter out after a couple of months, but a single new case can send the virus rapidly spreading. Mantoani's sick dogs jumpstarted a two-month deluge of cases seen by veterinarians in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Since then, H3N2 has emerged in pockets of Minnesota, Nevada and elsewhere. Last week, more than three dozen H3N2-positive dogs were identified in and around New York City. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now considers H3N2 to be endemic in the U.S. Edward Dubovi, a professor of virology at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, has tracked canine influenza virus (CIV) since 2004, when Cornell’s Animal Health Diagnostic Center helped isolate the first flu subtype - H3N8 - found to sicken dogs. Today, at least two subtypes are known to infect dogs: H3N8 and H3N2. The first is believed to have jumped from horses to racing greyhounds and moved on to the general canine population. Dubovi is among a growing number of scientists calling for more restrictive entrance rules. The importation of dogs, he said, is "totally uncontrolled" and costing U.S. pet owners millions of dollars in veterinary medical expenses. "If these were pigs, USDA would be going berserk about this," he said. "Every U.S. port that can bring dogs in from overseas is doing it. Once they’re here, there’s no required quarantines. And you can buy fake rabies certificates. During her bout with the flu, Mantoani's Jack Russell terrier Bailey was seen by Dr. Justin Daughtry, just two years out of veterinary medical school and then working at VCA Holly Street Animal Hospital in San Carlos. Daughtry observed that the dog was severely lethargic, with nasal discharge. "She was barely ambulatory and had a fever higher than 104 degrees," he recalled. "The first thought in my mind was, 'This is definitely not kennel cough.' I initially thought I was looking at distemper." A test for distemper came back negative. Daughtry then consulted his practice’s medical director and internal medicine specialist, Dr. James Bower. Bower suggested the culprit could be flu. From his experience, Daughtry believes veterinarians who face H3N2 for the first time are in for an abrupt education. For weeks after seeing Bailey, his schedule was full of dogs sick with the flu. The veterinarian changed his clothes at work and washed thoroughly before leaving each day. Even so, he carried the virus home. Daughtry's own dog became ill. He was fortunate. His pet made a full recovery.

Wasn't that one a new strain of parvo?

@@dougdimmadomeownerofthedim2918 I don't think so. It was a hacking coughing and lung issue that so many dogs had that our vet came out to the car for shots, and checked out the dog before they were even allowed inside. If they were there for a lung issue they were checking them out and toting them in the back for xrays and stuff but none were allowed in the lobby for several months. We have four pups and it wasn't a problem but I'm glad they were so serious about keeping them separated from any other dogs. Mine are always with me at home and never kept in any others care. It was a big to do here in Tennessee before.

My dog has been sneezing something awful since this past spring….runny nose, stuffy nose, snot wrapped around his nose, sneezes snot on the ground, I thought it was allergies, he’s been on antibiotics numerous times and prednisone with antihistamine….benadryl , I mix robatussin DM with honey and lemon tea for his cough so he can sleep….he has a heart murmur, so if he can’t sleep, I can’t sleep…I’ll be picking up his heart meds this week, he’s gonna have to go back on a different antibiotic…again.

My local shelter has shut down three times this year due to outbreak of what sounds like this. The first outbreak was in March; several dogs died. This is the first I’ve heard of it nationwide.

Keep your dogs away from vets. Other people bring their sick dogs to the vet when you bring your healthy puppy or dog to a vet they could pick up that sickness.

Yes whenever I go to the vets. I keep my dogs away from other dogs in waiting room. And I stop myself from stroking other people's dogs why there. Which is hard as I always want to fuss other people dogs. But they are still breathing anything in the air. That's a worry. But don't want to be paranoid

They are killing these dogs. All three of my boys are sick and my youngest is very sick...vomiting, pooping blood, it's horrible. A couple of weeks ago it rained and after it dried there was this weird brown dirt over absolutely everything. Lord our God help us. Get your house in order. We are in the last days.

"Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Hoping that this passes quickly and people’s pets stay healthy. Side note: I wish interviewers would quit typing while interviewing their guests. It’s distracting and rude. Cheers.

Well, doctors also told us the exact same, "make sure you get vaxd," Look how that turned out. I wouldn't put it past our government to do the same thing to our beloved pets so they can depopulate.

Look how that turned out?? Vaxxing got the pandemic under control so we could return to normal life again. Yes, vaxxed people can still get COVID, but it is much milder and not deadly. Why does everything always have to be a conspiracy? Now the government is trying to kill our pets for depopulation reasons? Does that make sense to you? Do you understand what the term "critical thinking" means? Hint: It has nothing to do with criticism or blame.

Very smart thinking... this is exactly what is happening.. do NOT give your dogs or cats ANY of the new vaccines for them..... this is all being done purposefully..
