I know there’s the urshifu theory being from sinnoh, but what if it came from challengers cave in unova? It could train kubfu being its “student” Pokémon it could make sense cuz urshifu and kubfu train in mountains and stuff.

It's not a bad idea, I like the idea that maybe this is the original way to train kubfu to evolve it to urshifu before they built the towers on the Isle of armor. Dunno if that would fit in with hoops SINNOH remake theory though.

The only problem is that it says in its dex entry that Kubfu and Urshifu normally love in mountains. And while there are mountains in Unova, Challenger's Cave isn't in them and is separated from them by a lot of water. So not a perfect theory. I do think it would be great to shut down the Sinnoh connection though. Not everything needs to connect to Sinnoh just so because they're likely doing a remake of it

Ghetsis is my favorite villain overall. No other villain comes close to him in sheer bastardry. Giovanni, who shares a motive in domination? Seems to have a code of honor he adheres to, and is graceful in defeat. Lysandre and Cyrus, who attempted worse than Ghetsis? Still have sympathetic elements to them, looking at their motives. Also of note is that Cyrus gets redeemed in two manga, and that Lysandre cries in remorse when confronted about what that means for the Pokemon. Ghetsis has no honor, no sob story, no remorse, and he flat out denies redemption when it's offered to him by N. He's a sadistic, sociopathic bastard who gets more loathsome in every game he appears in. Also, Hoops, have you seen the original concept art for the Shadow Triad? Given how the hair matches with the Striaton trio (one has long, wild hair that sticks up a bit, one has swept back bangs, and one has the hair over one eye style), it could have been possible that theory was actually intended at that point, but was just dropped at one point in development.

I don't think Ghetsis is quite as terrible as you may think. His concept art, his, rescue of the shadow triad, and his relationship with his N all suggest he did have honor and compassion, but at some point something very tragic happened that changed all that. He's by far the most emotionally broken and unstable, like a fairy tale villain.

Challengers cave was, lore wise, most likely the original home of the swords of justice. All three eldest swords look similar to each other to be confused for each other, with keldeo remaining in the cave as it wasn't strong enough yet. The story of one legendary people most likely means the whole group minus keldeo, however due to their dex entries and lore, humans forced them out of their home and to split up. Virizion to the woods outside castelia, terrakion to victory road, cobalion to mistralton cave and keldeo to deep in the moor of iccirus to go into hiding.

Maybe the Challenger's Cave legendary, was an early version of Kubfu and Urshifu. Urshifu's category is the Wushu Pokemon, which means teacher or master. And Kubfu could be the student Pokemon.

I dunno, I think theres a very clear connection in these games between the Freemasons and team Plasma. My knowledge on Freemasons is pretty limited, so by all means let me know if there are any mistakes, but I know that the organization is often cited in conspiracy theories as trying to take over the world, or create a new world order. This makes them pretty similar and probably the inspiration for team Plasma, which is fairly secretive, shows a noble goal to the public, but actually just wants to usurp the status quo. The ritualistic portrayal of the organization in conspiracy theories also matches the ritualistic portrayal of Plasma. With that in mind, I think that's our connection to Ghetsis' original design with him wearing what resembled (to me at least) something like the hat that I've seen popes wear (not Catholic either, clearly). I'd be willing to bet that even then they were working the same kind of angle with Ghetsis that they ended with - a trusted, kindly advisor/leader who suddenly shows his true colors. With all this in mind, it really doesn't surprise me at all that the pokemon lab P-2 shares its name with a real life Masonic counterpart.

The legendary with a "student" in challenge cave, could also be urshifu and Cubfu, as cubfu can be seen as a martial arts "student", it also makes more sense considering the fact that the towers where you train cubfu are located in theCHALLENGE beach and CHALLENGE path* (I think it's called) .

Gen 5 was PEAK Pokémon. Anything since then has been GenWun pandering and gimmicks. I still enjoyed Gen 8 and I think Kalos at least has good replay value but nothing beats Gen 5 for me!!

I think PETA is crazy too, but it is less educated to say that pokemon isn't animal abuse than saying it is. As a fan of pokemon, the ONLY real defense that has ever been present is that it is fantasy. All the other BS that people say about it not being animal abuse is fake and flawed.(Like the tired statement that claims because the pokemon like their trainer that it must be a more of a loving relationship. I am sorry but MANY animal abuse relationships have a partnership component to it, but that doesn't mean it isn't abuse. That is like saying it is fine to beat your wife because you love each other sometimes. Also in that situation the wife even has human self awareness to be able to leave the situation where animals/pokemon do not.). Pokemon is sugar coated fantasy animal abuse. That just is the only educated fact. It still is fantasy though so the take home is, is it teaching people to be abusive? I have played since 2nd grade and only love animals and pokemon are not real so no animals are hurt with playing the game. Have I looked at statistics though to see the broad effect? no. Does it contribute to a mindset of wanting to collect exotic and endangered animals? that actually is possible. It feels like that is on the rise sadly and is abusive to nature and the animals in it. IDK.

Not sure how obscure this actually is because its been a while since I played gen 5, but I'm surprised that being able to catch N's old pokemon didn't make this list. They're pretty rare to find, and they have their own special particle effect that plays when you send them out, similar to shinies. Such a weird little addition that hasn't been revisited since as far as I know.

Not sure if anyone knows this but in the coding for black and white there was an item called the God stone. It was a key item and it was left unused. It could have been used for kyurem or something with arceus. But it was never used in the final released
