😆 "12 feet" I bought a '67 Galaxie Fastback with original motor and transmission. Fixing to overhaul it. I paid $6000 for mine. Body is just as straight as this one but interior needs love as does the paint. Super excited except for Biden's America is making it too expensive to rebuild a car nowadays.

From 1975 to 1983 my mom had a '67 Ford Galaxie 500 fastback; 351 Windsor, electric windows, cold A/C; a real clean creampuff...green with a black landau top...she swore it had a "magic carburator" cuz it got damn good gas mileage for such a big car...long story short, it was stolen in 1983. She still talks about that car 40 yrs later.

Nice! Thanks for sharing your story on the Galaxie! The windsor is such a good engine!

Just rebuilt the C6 tranny in my 67 galaxie and it wasn’t $800 for the rebuild kit. Closer to $200 for master rebuild kit. Sweet car! I like the modern seats, I might steal that idea for my car. Love the channel bro

ahhh from 1970 to 1971 I owned a 67 Galaxy 500, Fire engine red with custom black interior. Small block V8. But it had 3 on the tree with overdrive. Would sure love to find another one for the price I paid for mine as in as good of shape. $1800 in 1970.

I just bought one for $6000. Not in that kind of condition either. The guy didn't want to sell it but needed the $. '67 Galaxie Fastback. Mine has original motor and tranny and even the double barrel carburetor.

The 67 Galaxie looks like and the Chevrolet Impala and Pontiac GTO had a baby.

They do look like that! People always asked if the car was a GTO!

I had a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500, with a 351 Windsor engine, best car I ever had!

Heck yeah! I swapped a 351W into a Country Squire from my Galaxie after making the hike back from Chicago to LA. Those engines are unstoppable!

Ive been stuck on this car vs a 65 falcon. Dont like how small the falcon is and without mods the engine is limited
@ModernGreaser5 жыл бұрын
Falcons are cool, but the Galaxie is a nice underdog of the car world if they are done right. You never see them and they have great lines like a 67 GTO.

Thinking cap? Really? Spoiler alert it's a '67 Galaxy Valve job, Hooker super comps and a fresh C6... Voila a clean cruiser. $3500.00 is a steal.

Very nice car, had several 68 's , why did you tow it on rear wheels
@ModernGreaser3 жыл бұрын
Didn't want to mess with locking the front wheels and since the driveshaft was already out, we toed in on the rear wheels.

Needs tires not rubber bands Totally clashes with the style. The FE engines the way to go but parts more of a chore to find than the 351. They are torque monsters

This is what I did for my 65 GTO that sat on a farm for 10 years. If you're not in a rush, pull the spark plugs out and spray lubricant into the spark plug holes. Pb blaster etc. I used WD40, but I'm not sure how good that was for the engine. Engine oil might be better. You could then drain the oil if you want, I didn't. An engine "wants to run" so with any luck, if there wasn't anything catastrophic prior, it will probably just fire right up. If you haven't already, new points, rotor, condenser, plugs, wires, fresh gas. The carb is always going to be the pain in the neck. I bought a remanufactured Holley for $150. Worth every penny. Carbs are usually the biggest issue.

Absolutely! The day you saw it on the trailer, the car was in route to get some of the suspension worked on. As soon as that beast hits the road, I will make an episode. The next episode will feature the super rare 2019 ford GT. It will look at the in-depth application process required to be one of the 1,000 people in the world even allowed to purchase the car from Ford. Thanks for watching!
