Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 18L

I am always on the look out for great deals on unique bags and I certainly found one with this Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 18L bag. My first experience with the Mystery Ranch Tri Zip style of bags, so this is going to be a fun experiment. I will say the look of this bag combined with being one of the most comfortable bags to carry, might make me hang onto it and put it in the EDC rotation.

Hey there! Great video! Love the urban assault line of Mystery Ranch bags myself as I’ve owned a few along with the infamous Carryology Assault aka the unicorn! Looking at your pack I may be wrong in saying this but I believe you have the 21L and not the 18L size. I bought my son in the past the 18L UA and it didn’t come with load lifters also noticed it in the Mystery Ranch website.

Looking at the MR website and you are right the UA18 does not come with the load lifters. This was sold to me as the 18L and while it certainly feels closer to 18L than it does 21L, you might be right. I will have to follow up with MR to see if they ever offered the 18L with load lifters. @@AZGearJunkie A little late to comment, but I too own a 18L with load lifters :) Mine is from 2017, though! So it might have been present on the older models

The “grape” version I just got from Back Country (25%off) is slightly different, and a smidge inferior due to the lack of load lifters and other things. Still, $97 ain’t bad for this beauty.

Nice! I have the UA21 in bright yellow (I think it is called Lemon). I wish I purchased a darker color and the 18L size.

I have a 12L Recycled Firefighter and a GR1 21L. The 18L of the MR plus the clean lines and look fill the gap between the two. It’s definitely staying in the rotation. Working on a review of my newest bag, the Evergoods CPL 28 V2. Same idea, bridge the gap between my GR1 21L and my GR2 34L. Stay tuned.

Great video. I have a 21 Liter UA. How does this 18L differ besides the obvious in capacity? Where are the dimensions different? LWH.
