Super useful comparison! Thanks! The dragon does look less bulky though than the other ones. The gr1 comes closest in smallest looking.

Yes! Been follow you channel for a while. Finally this drop, I got a Dragon 2.0, i got the Olive Green. Got it yesterday, and my first day carry it. Seems everything okay but the main compartment zip on the top part is not smooth. Hopefully it will be better later when zip it more.

Good question! And it fits great. There's enough space dedicated to the laptop area for sure. That said, when you stuff any bag it will put pressure on the laptop area...this one is no different from the other options I compared it to in this video or the previous one. So on par with it's competitors

Thanks for the quick turn around for a second video !!! So the dragon 2.0 fully packed out fit in the gr1, gr2 and ctb 26 with room to spare in those bags. So the benefit of using the beaver tail on the dragon Is that would definitely give you more capacity over the others 🤔

My dragon just came in today and I’m bummed by the internal size. I can pack 30% more in my 26L GR1. It’s such a good looking bad though.

Don't know about 30% but I agree the Dragon feels slightly less than 26L...if those others are 26L

Can you attach a weight plate pocket to the back panel laser cut channels? I.e. will it support a 20 or 30 lb weight plate in a Shaddox tactical plate pocket?

I probably wouldn’t do that with laser cut. Could just be cautious but stitched webbing would be far superior.

Could you? yes. But it wouldn't be secured well enough in my opinion. I'd just put the plate inside the laptop compartment if I were to ruck with it.

Generally I have found that weight plates don't stay high enough (to be as comfortable) in laptop compartments compared to a rucker 4.0 or a plate pocket in a GR1 or GR2... just got my white Dragon yesteday so looking forward to experimenting. Going to try half of a yoga block at the bottom of the laptop compartment...

I haven't weighed them but I don't think it's less. That material is not very thin. They feel the same.

I also ended up getting the black and the white Dragon 2.0 - no brainer for me, as I have been getting two color options in each of the last 3 Mystery Ranch and Carryology collaborations. Had to have a black one in each one of the drops and generally speaking, I would not normally get white X-PAC; however, as soon as I knew that this drop will feature UVX40 for the white variant, I was just saying to myself, please don’t be prohibitively more expensive than the other packs featuring tactical X-50 and I was stoked to see that this dope UHMWPE material was only $60(?) more than the rest??? So I received the bad boy in white today and (for some reason the black one came yesterday despite me ordering them minutes from one another) was absolutely enamored by it as it looked and felt even better in person than it did in the pictures on the website… I love that the white is more like silver white and UVX40 is just a great material (one of my top 3) for a modern pack in this size and volume range. It is interesting that the website shows the same weight for all 4 colorways, and I haven’t yet put them on a scale to compare, but I bet that the UVX40 variant weighs less than the burly X-50, and please correct me if I’m wrong. Long story short, love both colors black and white but as is tradition with all my other packs from theses collabs, the black one goes into my collection cellar, whereas, the Storm Trooper is going to get serious play in the coming days, weeks, and months… PS: I, also, skipped out on the GRXC3 Berserker 1st drop, even tho, I don’t mind leather, for the most part… but something about that collaboration screamed it was forced and trying too hard and just didn’t seem to have a genuine GORUCK vibe, especially compared to the GRXC1 & GRXC2, both of which were absolutely stunning, as much as they were practical and a must have for any Carry Collector… maybe the 2nd part of Berserker will have a different appeal but if I’m being honest, The Berserker Bullet was almost $500, so I can only imagine the price tag on the follow up GR1 and GR2, and if I am going to spend this much on a bag that features mostly leather, I would just get Bedouin Foundry’s Sharky, which is a totally different bag but features beautiful leather and more fasteners and sliders by AustriAlpin 😊

There is way too much dust where i live to get a white pack buts its nice if you can keep it clean sane thing is true fir the black just nit quite as bad as the white

I had a 2DAP(made in Vietnam) and I must say it was well built. However afterwards I got the 3DAP and could tell the difference in quality (esp the zips)
