Hi Sandy! I have no idea who sent you this song hahaha it's one of his original songs written in 2015, it's made for a travel TV program. The name of this song Tang is the most open-minded Dynasty in China (618-907AD) which used to attract many international travelers to visit it. And the city in the MV used to the capital of Tang Dynasty. That is the why Huozun telling a story in the lyrics about a foreign traveler coming to the city(now is called Xi An) for the first time.

The song was written for a travel TV show as well as the promotion of tourism in the city of Xi'an. Xi'an was called Chang'an in ancient China. It's the capital city of Tang dynasty, which was famous for economic and cultural prosperity, early globalism like the silk road, and legendary poets like Li Bai (李白) referred as "man called Li" in the lyrics.

Can I recommend two of Huozun's songs? I just would ask for one but both are my favorite I can't decide😂😂😂😂😂 in English "I'm Huozun" 2014, it's where he started to learn Chinese Operas. 2018, he wrote this song for the Spring Festival and it's so calming and peaceful! emmmmm.......I have to mention you he looks gaining a little bit weight in that 2018 video but it's not his fault😂 it's mainly caused by hormone injections and anti-inflammatory for his Wounded Knee.

I believe the song english lyrics is actual translation of the Tang Dynasty poem .. Chinese composers have written tunes for several famous ancient poems before but this first time I heard one singing the poem in English. Tough job to sing a Chinese poem in English n still sounds good. but bravo to Huo for doing it well. Sandy, if you can love this , you might want to know of the ancient poems turned into songs done by the late most beloved Chinese legendary singer Deng Li Jun aka Teresa Teng in her much acclaimed album "Light Exquisite Feelings" . There is a upload of this album done by her greatest fan HKship with lyrics , translations even background explanations for each n every songs in the album.
