Mystery are a hidden gem....one of our favourite bands on World Music Library. This track is a true classic and I just cannot understand why these guys have remained so liitle known for so long. We will play them regularly and promote them as much as we can. This style of music will never die..........

There is another band with a very similar sound, they are called Magic Pie I believe, some of their music is painfully emotional, particularly their album about getting old, may not suit everyone. Mystery are wonderful.

Allright! This is not what I would call Canadian music, but after listening to this song I'm convinced. Every Mystery song will be listened to, that's for sure!

This is a perfect example of intelligence in prog rock. The simple intro, the haunting synth/guitar builds up to the sensitive vocal parts. The bass pedals add the power and then the wonderful guitar solo adds the overdrive feeling to the piece. Then the tune winds down, it's message delivered, to the quiet beginnings again. An epic masterpiece!

These guys did not play along with the big music industry, they played with emotion and passion from their heart, that's why many of us connect. They are beyond today's so-called noise and lights. They are wonderful.

This song echo's what i'm sure a lot of men feel when they lose their partner. I lost my wife of 55 yrs. last july and the words "It tears me apart" is an accurate description of what i feel when i look at her picture. I will carry this song to my grave.

Found them a year ago. Don't go day without listening to them since, their music is so damn emotional, and their live performances are stunning.

They should tour in Europe. There is enough festivals there to build up a fan base just like Arcade Fire did and now they are riding not on the main stream but on their own stream and their album sales went up. Rush did it too, earning their fan's respect one by one by doing impeccable concerts years after years. No rock band can survive without touring today because the industry has rejected prog-rock, all they want is sale Fast-Food (from Gaga to Bieber)

Wow! Unique, yet hear influences of Genesis, Floyd, Crimson, and even possibly Enigma, though ths may have preceded the latter. Beautiful piece, but ends weirdly in this clip.

It ends weirdly because its transitioning into part 6 of the overall 22 minute song. 🎶

I didn't use the term sophisticated, you did. I don't think Mystery to be more sophisticated than any other group or band...and I don't classify music by 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class. I merely used the word "classy" with the quotes as a very broad term. It's neither mainstream soft rock or hard rock, nor is it heavy metal. I love all kinds of music from opera, to some country, 70s' and 80s' rock, the classics with orchestra, Johnny Mathis, etc. I could go on. cont.

About the 2:56/57 mark that deeply penetrating tone pulled me into something I can't explain . Remindful of some past moment just out of spiritual grasp .

Lately I have been saturating myself with Gotthard (only Steve Lee era ). I like hymns, also. The only thing I'm not that interested in is hip hop. I absolutely love metal and hair bands ( I think that's the term you used ) such as Angel. If you look at my channel you will see how varied. I want to ask you if the singers high voice is why you say it's gay?

Search for "Game of thrones - Remember house Stark - part 1" and also part 2, A chronological tributes that match perfectly with the music of Mystery! You're in for a surprise, I've made them this week so are freshly uploaded which means they need hits in order to appear in researches. Many thanks if you check them out! See the Lyrics come to life.

With respect...what is "gay" sounding? Is there a computer program for that now? Sounds like good music to me...sexuality, I don't think that bleeds into music...yet!

I might like or decide to use the word "blue" to mean "red" but that would be a misuse of the word. I just don't understand why you would want to describe this as gay. It isn't Rush or Marillion, ..It's Mystery and I don't have a problem with the music at all. One group doesn't have to sound like another. Why do you listen to it if you don't like it? Like I said...you're entitled to your opinion...I just don't agree with it.

You're entitled to your opinion...but that's completely backwards and doesn't make sense to me...it's a misuse of the term. Why do you have to use it as a derogatory term? This music to me is good, classy, and very accepted in a positive way. Yes? Yes! I have listened to Yes for years and I don't see it in a negative way. The Sailor and the Mermaid...is a good song by Mystery...and you might use the term "gay" yourself but not me. I see it as just good music...in the same vein as Rush.
