as a martial artist, this story makes me very happy. Martial arts (arts, not sports) help you a lot with character building, education about justice and confidence. Great to see that in the movie the girl is the most powerful. It is very true that it has nothing to do with gender, muscles or body mass, it's all about technique. That's also why Alex and Harry can defend against the bullies in such a short period of training. It's simply applied technique.
@hp2546 Жыл бұрын
Ip Man is going to wish the world is like that for his son. I mean in Ip Man 4, Ip Man's son had to go through the school where using martial art for self defense counts as bullying others. That girl experienced similar things where either defending herself or defending others counts as bullying others. Educational system had been flawed where they come from. Ip Man even thought of getting his son to go to America to study but he finds out going to America was even worst which meant the educational system and the whole law was going to give American people a power to bully the Asians. This movie has got to be better then Ip Man 4 movie because this martial arts story eventually leads to justice. Not keeping a system that gives bully a power to pick on the weak.

Especially when he’s someone who’s always surrounded himself with a bunch of “minions”! I used to get bullied mad in grade school for the first eight years. Every recess was a "ok, who's gonna find a clever way to hit me today?" thing. You know, have your wrist twisted around, put in a headlock, whipped with a stick, have a ball "accidentally" get smacked in your face 5 times while you're passing the soccer field, have your shit taken, stuff like that. Started Shotokan Karate, 2 years later had beat up the various bullies, suddenly no one was picking on me anymore.

Very Inspiring movie! PS: If interested Keep Reading I as being bullied by kids in New York when I moved in at age of 10. Since I turned 12, I loved going to the parks myself to play basketball or handball. So once at the HandBall court I was corned at the edge of the tall fence by 2 kids, I felt so scared for my life that my instinct turned onto autopilot mode and pushed the kid down on his butt. As his older brother started chasing me, found out where I lived and stalked me few time. Being bullied is serious, being a bully is the worst.

I'm glad that in Korea bullying is considered a serious crime and addressed seriously, at least in their dramas. Bullying can actually lead to the point it can harm someone physically or emotionally or both.. as many teens think it's cool and fun..and don't get the seriousness of its severity.
@hyukleberry55672 жыл бұрын
It's taken seriously because it's such an epidemic over there. Lots of school bullying occurs and there's lots of corruption. People write these movies as an escape from reality because there's often no way for people to defend themselves and schools ignore you. There was actually famous case where a bunch of young girls, probably no older than 15, beat their classmate with pipes and shit. Even if this made it to the court because it was so severe, they got off easy because there are laws protecting kids from being punished on the same degree as adults.

@hp2546 Жыл бұрын
There are many who learns self defense but at the cost of getting suspended in school. The school will expect a victim to take a beating and allow bullies to get away scott free. So if by using self defense, you got to be prepared to get suspended from school. There are also situations where defending yourself in school gets you into big trouble in school.

Typically, there’s a code or duty of honor to be followed when you learn martial arts. In short: You’re taught to defend yourself and only to use your martial arts for good. I was taught a martial arts with a lot of bone-breaking, and was taught to only use it in dire situations. You never want to use it. In the end, if you use it, your opponent’s life will never be the same. We’re taught that we should hope to never have to use our martial arts in a real situation.

Looking at victims, I realise that children of single parents are always the ones chosen and coming from a similar background, I was a potential victim. I escaped bullies by escaping into myself. The story concept touched a nerve with me. I had two chronic illnesses growing up. Six near fatal episodes left me underdeveloped and vulnerable to bullies. When I finally got a clean bill of health. I got serious about my body. Come spring neighbors were calling my parents saying. What happened to Bill? Boy used to have a neck. The bullies were shocked when I became the defender of the weak. One bully couldn't stand the upset to his fun. Tried to attack with four of his friends. Put him in the hospital for ten days. Didn't intend to hurt him that bad. His buddies were no help for him. They being the cowards most bullies are. Stepped back when the tables were so turned. All attempts on me stopped. The weak sometimes found out who had brought an end to their torment. I thanked me. See,, I always tried to make my attack on the bully away from open view. Private affair. I didn't try to add humiliation to injury. No more than truly necessary. This not only cured a bully. It made true friends of several. They learned about respect. For all. So the video brought back old memories. I'm Sixty-five now. Keep it up. Many of today's youth need this line of thinking.

Great 👍, while you are at it, don't forget to teach your kid not to hurt or bully anyone with his skills and only use it for self-defense or to save someone who is being bullied. The problem is that a lot of parents teach or push their kids to learn martial arts forms for self defense but then they turn into bullies themselves. As kid's don't understand good and evil as adults and they often show off their skills to either impress someone or to be treated as everybody's favorite, the problem is they showoff their skills on weak ones

I was taught to not start a fight, but if one is brought to you,finish it. When my daughter was harassed and bullied by a gang of girls. She was headed to one of the military academies, was the captain of several sports teams and was on Student Council. I’m from a deep north reservation, and learned to defend myself young, I had sweated and sacrificed to insure my kid didn’t have to…when I went to talk to the school principal, he informed me that if my daughter fought back, she would be suspended and blah, blah, blah..I asked him how many times was she expected to be this girl gang’s punching bag…as I was walking out of the school, I got an eyeful of the girl gang trying to corner my kid. With one of their Mom’s sitting in her car laughing, at which point he went to the woman’s car, and opened the door and climbed in, she was stunned when I grabbed her purse, pulled out her wallet and snatched up her license, she was trying to claw her purse away and hit me, I locked my door and whaled n her sorry azz, then bit her face, I had slugged her so she didn’t have breath, her her little gang of animals she “mothered” were banging and n the car. I bitch slapped her, told her I would hunt her sorry azz down should I hear of any more incidences of bully garbage from her little sleazy whores. And you know, there were no more kids ncidences of that crap happening to my kid, or the others the girl gang had been bullying. The directors of teenage behaviors is first and foremost the parents, then the Authorities. But what so many out there don’t get, is that you can live through pain, and you need to know how to deal with azzwipes…and frankly, I would gladly have gone to jail too protect my kid from those beeyotches. Entirely too much horse crap is tolerated, and too often, Authority doesn’t do its job.

Great recap!👋🏽 My 1st bully was my so called older sister🙄. It prepared me 4 the bullies in school, somewhat, lol. Eventually 2 avoid trouble I skipped the cafeteria & volunteered in the Guidance Counselor office til I graduated 💃🏽🥳

When starting grade 6th, my son was bullied by grades 8th-9th. Although a skilled Tae Kwon Do fighter, he was physically no match for the bullies, who were late in grades by several years, and he did not want adults to get involved, out of pride. So I suggested him to group with his friends, to collectively fight back. It made wonders: not only nobody picked them anymore, but they were strongly bound, going into the fight without hesitation for the others when they would not have dared to defend themselves.

I bet your son did not trust adults in the 1st place. These things can happen where adults in charge can support the bullies so of course it may make sense for any child for not wanting adults to get involve. Kids at that age have past experience dealing with teachers who discriminates them.
@gengis737 Жыл бұрын
@@hp2546 It's more about early will to solve issues by themselves, knowing that looking for adults' support could not be permanent and made them look weak toward the bullies. So they found the collective dealing much more efficient.

Jenny overpowering the bullies to save someone who is weaker than them has got to be one of the most satisfying things ever when you experienced it like Alex and Harry in school.

I like this story as I can relate to it being bullied myself when I was in the Elementary School and then Hight School just because I was the smallest in the class. Without provocation they would just hit me in the back of my head and they laugh. So, I decided to fight them even when I know I can't beat them at all. I decided to enroll in a KARATE CLASS (JKA) and with this I can depend myself even with guys bigger than myself. Watching from Illinois USA: 02-26-2022...Early morning here now. TO ALL BE SAFE.
