They aged as I aged. As an almost 69year old, I am not worried about my ageing appearance very much. What doesn’t show is the chronic aches and pains from old injuries, weakness of grip for removing lids, vision problems then cataract surgery, fatigue from standing in line, staying awake after a meal. Life is a series of milestones and reaching each one is a triumph. All of the possible dangers of a particular age have been avoided so each birthday is a celebration of achievement.

I hope, one day, someone has the foresight to show the “before” and “after” of the greedy executives and the idiots sucking it all up, thereby damaging themselves physically and mentally. One thing: YOU’RE ALL GOING TO DIE. WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR LIFE ON OBSESSING OVER A WRINKLE OR A FEW EXTRA POUNDS. It’s senseless and delusional, beauty fades, but intelligence, unless fated with a terrible disease, goes on forever and will be passed to future generations. Beauty will not, no-one will be a clone of your gorgeous selves, a mere superficial resemblance - perhaps. But so what? (I’m referring to genuine beauty, of course, not the bits of surgery with which you have distorted yourselves).
