In the future, Eggman unleashed an evil curse that was discovered in the pyramids of Sandopolis Zone and now the souls of the curse went to Mystic Cave while the remains of Oil Ocean was polluting it. The rocks are dark red with carvings saying "Your doomed hedgehog!" And "You'll never make it out here in one piece!" and the wood boards on the rocks are dark golden. The background has some parts of the Oil Ocean background with the lights glowing red meaning this place is polluted and cursed at the same time. But wait! It gets worse, Hyudoros roam all over the haunted and polluted mines and they start to get more aggressive when the lights start to dim out, you can find switches to make the lights more brighter causing the ghosts to fly towards the background instead of disappearing. Sonic and Tails better get out of this scary place before it's too late.

Usually a remix is worse than the original, losing touch of what made the original so memorable. Sometimes a remix is on par; it either copies the original, merely updating it or re imagines it but with just as much polish.
