Jesus talks about the sowing of the seed. This is also the metaphor that works for me in describing so much of what you’re talking about, my gardening experiences. The first pass, the first plowing of any plot is the hardest. Then gardening in that spot gets easier and easier every year. Creating the vision and opening up a space in yourself, finding what tools, what aptitude creates the ability to discover genuine connections.

I'm surprised that only 142 people have heard this amazing conversation! About 45 minutes in, Thomas speaks about how we relate to the news, to conflict, to difficult situations within the context of spiritual practice. That's when he begins to address the questions posted above. It means even more to hear this now than it did in 2016. We can walk, we can do it together, and we can become so much more than we are. When we evolve, our relatedness to each other and to the collective culture spreads through a myriad of concentric circles out into the world. The world then lives both within me and grows through me/ us. "The world needs to play music through us." We are the instrument, consciously aware of this global system and each individual part in it, including my own. WOW.

So many valuable points in this teaching...our responsibility, the government, the creative process, and an embodied practice. Spirituality beyond the cushion! LOVELY.

I love your emphasis at this time on presencing and responsiveness to beautifully regulate with breath and heart our individual and collective relationships and organism as a whole cosmic field! In gratitude for your sacred work!

Astonishing to me, that people aren't taking notes! A friend in my meditation group turned me on to this & then said she didn't hear any message about activism! Huh? I am delighted to hear him speak of it as a part of our expanded awareness & capacity! So many meditators seem so complacent! I feel if it is in our community, our country, our world, we also have karma (responsibility w/ it!

I love the coming back to being present and watching - BEING part of all by participating with my heart in this moment. Love Thomas’s explaining what i know on a daily basis. Like ‘eyes to look at them’. So deep!! So giving us eyes to see. It brings tears and calm.

Make sure we think of the significance of Michelangelo David. It wasn’t defeat of killing Goliath. It was the moment before as you can see within his beautiful body the belief. That he will do it, has the strength and the right to do it.
