At this point you're probably wondering where part 1 and the devlog are. Part 1 is coming but had to be re-encoded (and now re-re-encoding, blah), and the devlog should have been done except I feel asleep early and I guess the other guys didn't feel like trying to wake me up... We have all the stuff for it though, so probably tomorrow.
Oh, this video! Here's where things get tough. Without the Marisa Laser the wind attack is hellish even on normal, which is why I went for her instead of Patchy. The final spellcard, Akashic Chronicle... Well, it speaks for itself. Thankfully it's not too damaging and when you get hit you can grab a bunch of invulnerability time by falling off the screen, but still it'll kill you if you don't go into it with enough health (or have god-level reflexes.)
Overall, awesome fight, awesome game. Lion Heart has really made a name for themselves with this game, the amount of polish is incredible.

Ah, sorry, someday I'll learn how to read. The survival theme does actually loop back around to Grimoire for a bit, but it's mainly just a stream of chaotic awesome.

She goes MAD when half of her life is gone... she screams bloody murder and blasts the biggest forbidden light sparks in all gensokyo! Eventually all that energy dies down and she overloads with power and falls to her own doom...

I really, really didn't expect to see younger Alice here... Given the magician theme, I expected Mima, if anyone from PC-98 (and was half-hoping they somehow put in Byakuren) but I have no complaints, this battle was amazing.

I'm aware that throughout the battle that the Grimoire of Alice is the battle music, I just couldn't tell if the music changed at all during the survival section due to the bullet spam drowning out the music xd. Thanks though i guess

The younger Alice is actually the extra boss of Touhou 5 - Mystic Square. Why you're fighting her here - your guess is as good as mine. Many of her attacks are based off famous mystic books (Akashic Chronic, Necronomicon, etc.) Her first attack is (Something's) Red Dragon and the wind attack is (Something) Emerald, but that's about all I can translate - her actual dialogue I can read "I..." And then it's all Kanji =( She does say I a lot though =P

@KrikOBob You can indeed fight EX Alice on easy. I had no idea about the true boss until i got to the end of easy mode, beating Alice (played Patchy and Marisa). The the book flies up and opens. "Wtf? Oh crap?" But yes, you can.

...Not sure. I think you can fight her on any difficulty, but you have to get 20 coupling points by the end of the old final stage.
