When ascending those stairs, the music had me under that impression that all anime would. "The enemy is waiting for me up there...I'll DEFEAT-...wait" And then you find a dude in at a shinto shrine who tells you to make a prayer at the shrine by offering ryo only to receive a Chargeable Flaming Ryo Toss upgrade after doing so.
