Mystical Transcarpathia: Obava stone. Valley of the Idols (February 4, 2024) MegaRegaTour

The Obava Stone rises in the western part of the valley, in which the "Synyak" sanatorium is located. The mountain got its name from the village of Obava, located south of it. The top slopes are steep, at the top there is an exposed rock more than 80 m high, from which a wonderful panorama of the Carpathians opens. The Obava stone is unique in that it is the crater of a once raging volcano. The Valley of Idols is a clearing located in the forest on the ridge between the village of Nizhnya Grabivnytsia and the Karpaty sanatorium. This is the so-called temple of native believers. The lawn is not large and has the shape of a circle. In the central part is Triglav - a symbol of the most important Slavic gods - Family, Rod and Svarog.
