I think both boys were obsessed with their mother but Diana was closer to William than to Harry. Catherine has eased William away from Diana whereas Meghan has stirred the pot and played on Harry's mania for her own ends. Harry was always the 'spare' in his mother's affections rather than his father's affections. I don't know how he can ever work that through or how Diana can assist him - except possibly through William and Catherine and the example of their marriage and family life. Catherine has always tried to support Harry but Meghan resents her and sees her as a rival for Harry's soul. Glad Queen Victoria did not come back as QEII. QV grew up and reigned in another era and had many bureaucrats taking care of business. For about 20 years of her reign she mourned Albert and was not participating in royal duties until she was forced to reappear.
