I can tell this is triggering for you. When my husband was deployed, one of my neighbors would ring my doorbell every night. If I had opened my door and he gained access, it would be my word against him. No forced entry... oh, yes, he knew what he was doing, and it scared the bejeezes out of me.

I've been stalked...it can destroy you! You lose your self worth, your identity & freedom & live with tremendous anxiety & fear! It didn't last long for me but I truly empathise with everyone & anyone who has ever been through it or is dealing with it now! ❤

OMG - how terrifying. I can only imagine what you have gone through. They belong in an secure psychiatric facility...too bad that the Govt cuts to mental care prevent most of these cases being recognized an/or sometimes their relatives do not take proper care when some go off meds. Its too bad for us, but keep up your guard and talk to someone you trust. I wish you the best.

I had a stalker when i was a teenager; way before the internet existed (I will be 60 this year) and I would get a lot of very creepy phone calls, and flowers delivered, letters that were disgusting (but not hand written, typed). We had the police involved, it was very scary. It ended up being the husband of a family that I was a regular babysitter for; and I had no clue, it was a shock. When it all came out, he ended his life --his wife had no idea. I feel that this experience made me very protective and more paranoid with our kids, even now when they are all 23+ and with the internet now. "Better safe then sorry" is kind of my go to. Thanks Shanta for this reading, I haven't watched the show yet; but two of our daughters want me to watch it with them.

@@linaleblanc8288 Yes, I was very lucky. I was only 16 and my parents contacted the police very early on and thank goodness, either than the emotional aspects of it all, nothing physically happened. I know that it has made me a tad more paranoid and over cautious since though, with myself and those I love. Thank you =).

Not seeing the truth? She plead guilty fgs! She was a lawyer. She wouldnt plead guilty just like that. He has every right to tell his story. He didnt actually set out to make money out of it. It was only because his 'Breakdown moment' while on stage went viral on the internet that even took him by surprise. Even once that went viral she contacted him again threatening to tell his parents about the ab-youse. Why does she think she deserves any monetary gain from a story he has made very clear is his side of the story. Of course Netflix are going to make parts up but the main story is in there. All she has to do is make her own film. I certainly wouldn't be giving her a penny.

My daughter is being stalked for 3 years now. It’s the worst thing a person can go through. It’s frightening. It’s definitely a mental illness. She’s not the only one he’s been stalking, there are 5 other girls. The law is finely stepping in to help. Stalking is hard to prove. Our house is filled inside and out with cameras. Even our neighbors also installed cameras to help us out.

I’ve been stalked. I was one of 210 women that a truck driver picked out of our loved ones obituaries in the paper. The man was caught and spent life in prison due to the soft and hard taps I had on my phone. I recorded all phone conversations and testified against him. He ended up dying in prison.

I haven't seen the series, only the interview. She alledgedly is going to do newspaper interviews, so presumably they will be paid.

Seen reportbon Piers Morgan and the alleged stalker is a Scottish solicitor Fiona Harvey who feels she has been used. So if she wants to take action, she is likely to know what needs to be done.

For a lawyer she's an horrific speller. Her grammar is horrendous. It's a shocking example of the Scottish education system. And yes, I am Scottish so know how diabolical the standards are now. 'Martha' talks about the top politicians she'd worked with including Nicola Sturgeon another failed lawyer strangely enough but managed to become our First Minister and completely ruin everything good Scotland ever had. 😡

I’m so glad for your disclaimer at the beginning. Stalking is a serious problem and more often than not it is not taken seriously until someone ends up dead. I didn’t watch the PM interview because I also do not want to glorify her actions or give her ANY attention. This is serious mental illness and she will be emboldened by positive attention. The irony if she turns it onto Piers.

I watched this video first, then watched the interview. She claims that she has never been charged and spent time in prison for stalking - is it not easy for the media to confirm whether this is true or not? I believe they were both in on this together at first (there was a theatre production that she was raving about), until she realized she wasn't getting any money from the Netflix series. One thing is for suew Netflix will win in the end!

Interesting reading. I had watched the program, and I saw Piers Morgan's interview with FMH. I have to say, I found her evasive, dodging some of Piers' questions. One question I think should be easy to prove, yes or no. Did she go to jail? Either she did or she didn't. If she didn't, I agree Richard will be in hot water. But, I do not believe that she has not seen the show. Otherwise, how could she have evaluated what is fact or fiction? Some have noted there is a difference between saying "This is a true story" vs. This story is "based on" events, etc.

But you have to admit he did nothing to stop her, he didn't even block her (he could easily have gotten a new phone number, blocked hers, etc.) and he even befriended her on FB after the alleged stalking. OK, she likely did stalk him, but maybe not to the extend he's telling us. Even if he claims he has Terabytes worth of messages, who knows, maybe she didn't write them all herself, he could have asked others to pretend to be her.

I’m three quarters of the way through it. I also watched the Piers Morgan interview. I honestly don’t know what to make of it but I didn’t warm to her in the interview. Nor did I really like him. Terri the trans was excellent and I really liked her and would love to hear her version of events. I’ll watch the last bit tonight and re watch the PM interview. A very interesting read, thank you.

Many years ago, high school, a boy in my home room became obsessed with me ..... not creepy but disturbing ..... no name for the behavior, 1960's, but now regard as a form of stalking ..... so feel I can compare as I watch Piers Morgan. I watched it all the way through although episode 4 was extra triggering for me. I was in bits but because my daughter (25) had really insisted we watch it due to the hype she ended up apologising to me as if she'd known the full content she'd never have asked me to watch it. Other than that I honestly don't understand where the hype came from. I know its a very serious matter, both issues dealt with, I personally didn't think it was that great. I was quite Disappointed by the end product especially the very end.

P.S.: I just watched the Piers Morgan interview of her, and the "This Morning" interview of him, and I believe her. She may have left a few details out, but she's truthful. He, on the other hand, is not, and I don't believe anything he says (I wouldn't even ask him for directions in the street if I was lost). His whole demeanor has something of a back stabbing con man, a sleasiness I've seen in a few people other people like him, and they all have this behavior in common, I couldn't even say what it is exactly, but it's there. Look at him, what does he make you feel like? Don't you get a weird gut feeling? It is so unfair that to get this sort of horror viewed the victim is male and apparently more believable that a woman would be the stalker. Tbh, this whole scenario is beyond my comprehension that we are still being sucked into this: male 'victim' vs female 'perpetrator. What about this huge world wide movement about dv and r3pe of women? This hideousness puts women in extremely poor light and affects the movement. Honestly I cannot actually believe Netflix chose the storyline. Think about the Channel 4 UK Post Office terribleness: the David vs Goliath. That's what Netflix should've done: woman being stalked by a man which is way more common. I am so furious about this Netflix series but then I unsubscribed from them after stupid Oprah, Harry, Rachel stupidity.

Saw the show last night...I am on the fence on this one....I think he made most of it up and continued with it to get good publicity to sell his wares....the amount of evidence he claims is just way too much. On the other hand she is a solicitor (employment law) so one would think she would be smart enough not to get involved at all with someone like that. She is in the process of suing him so we have to wait and see what comes out in court before making a fair judgement.

She was found 20 minutes after the show ended. She is very active on facebook although has about 6 accounts. She was also interviewed for a newspaper and then kept calling the reported Neil Sears. She denies staling and last news says no evidence of jail time etc...very interesting case
