Buying Mystery Games From eBay: Worth Over $300?! - PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS, PS2.

Another day, another random games eBay lot! I decided to give this one a try since it was a different seller I've never bought from before. Which was about the only thing going for it, as the description didn't promise any current generation games, so this was already looking like a pretty vanilla listing for the most part. But as always, I was caught off guard! Because out of 40 games, 13 of them were brand new and sealed. And that's what helped push the overall value of this to more than 3x what I paid! Not too shabby, certainly one of our better ones. You know I'm all about that cellophane wrap.

The "brand new" games you've gotten are all resealed/reshrinked, the Xbox 360 games don't have don't have the authenticity sticker down the side of the case anymore, they're most likely used

NCAA 14 is the expensive one you were thinking of, but it's actually quite not rare the only reason it's valuable is because it was the last NCAA game made

yeah the sealing looks super fake.. though they look to be in REALLY good condition even if used. So worst case scenario it would be "returned open never used" which IMO is fine

When I was running a Funcoland store we would run the side of the case along the edge of a the counter as a quick method to open shrink wrap. That is probably the reason you are seeing the spine damage.

That Gears of War is a reseal. Factory sealed XBox games have the sticker covering the spot you put your hands to open the case. Edit: all of those 360 games with cellophane are resealed.

Unfortunately, the "new" games aren't new. They are very nicely resealed. They are each missing the tamper sticker on the case that was common with 360 games.

Lost Planet is one of my favorite Xbox 360 games, I have the collectors edition that I still play, cant agree with his statement about how it didn't age well it still looks amazing, so much detail!!!

I liked the first one better more than the sequels. 2 is too multiplayer-centered, and 3 uhm just looks liked a discount dead space 3. And DS3 is a discount dead space game in itself.

It is fairly easy to reseat loose discs from outside the case. Move it around until it is in the position, then press down through the cover slightly off center.

Have all the sealed games got a official seal on them? Some stores have the ability to reseal games with a shrink wrap machine. Also the game which had the damage to the spine is down to too many games being squashed onto a shelf and its putting a game next to that one that rubs the spine when there forced in.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Xbox games were factory sealed. I think they're resealed. Xbox games usually have a barcode thingy on the side of the case, so you know it hasn't been opened. But all the ones I saw in the video didn't have that. Unfortunately due to it being showed on camera, I couldn't make out if the seals were shrink-wrapped or Y-Fold copies. If they have a Y-Fold, then they're probably factory sealed.

As someone who did not take care of their cases as a kid, the scratches on the game case spines could be from notebooks with the spiral spines. I would use those notebooks for cheat codes and put them next to my games and I think it ate some of the cases.

6:12 The plastic of the case MIGHT be discolored a little on the right there... It seems slightly more yellow, but that might either be an inconsistency in the plastic or the lighting.

That tearing on the spine of the games is caused when games are placed in those protective plastic cases that the employees have to remove when you purchase the game. It happens when you have to take them out frequently cause usually they are tight fitting cases

There were heaps of those Imagine games. They all seem to end up in the discount bins at most places for really cheap as nobody wants them. Much like all old sports games except the odd rare one that aren't the latest. Assasin's creed games are still fun. Even though they all follow the same type of gameplay just in different settings and time periods.

you should try buying game lots on yahoo auctions (the japanese auction site!) and then use a proxy shipping service like buyee. i did it once for a stream and it was a blast, you can get some really great deals (i got 50 japanese PS2 games for around $30), if you don't end up having to pay tons in shipping and import fees, that is :p

All you gotta do is use a blow dryer on those stickers. They become hot, loosen up, and then you slowly peel them away. I missed a lot of gems because I didn't know about this, so I wouldn't buy them in the past.

Pretty sure you're thinking of NCAA 14. That game runs for crazy prices, I think because it's the last entry before EA lost the license to make the games, so if you found one in a lot it would be pretty impressive, but that's probably not happening anytime soon.

Try using a hairdryer lightly on the fifa sticker, one it's a little warm peel it off and clean residue as normal.

Yeah I would love a switch sequel. You should be able to find it on amazon, but that might be a problem depending on your region. I live in Ireland and they sell some EU versions there, but they wouldn't work somewhere else
