just because there low rank doesnt mean anything. the best players also start at rank 1.. your not good at battling. just do research and you'll be half decent. instead of looking up ranks of Pokémon look up team comps and build one from that. the #1 pokemon overall could be #50 in switches it gets confusing.

As for your great league team, Clodsire is poison/ground, with best moves being poison and ground. Mandibuzz is dark/flying, with best moves being dark. Carbink is ground/fairy with it's best move's being rock type. The most effective typing's are ice, water, and rock. This team is effective against mainly bug, fire, and grass. A better team, though I would recommend switching out carbink. Definitely keep clodsire.

Opponent's Venusaur swapped in off of Bastiodon, has a Mandibuzz but stays in with Clodsire. Clodsire faints... sends in Carbink... realizes the Vine Whips are super effective, finally sends in Mandibuzz, but opponent switch-timer is up, he is switch-locked and his Mandibuzz is then stuck against the Bastiodon... which he forgot was their first Pokemon. This is craziness.
