I always pass those rolling pins up but this is SMART! Angela, roll then turn the dough a quarter turn then roll and continue....maybe that'll keep it from sticking

Oh Yes, new englanders molasses brown bread homemade beans gingerbread. This was so much fun to watch. Love seeing Angela. The going back and forth was so cute u guys. The rolling pins were cool. So glad you showed us the trick with putting powdered sugar on top of the gingerbread cookies then dusting it off, in order to fill the cracks and display the pattern better. I have two of those rolling pins and was just about to give them away, because I didn’t know how to enhance the pattern. Now I know! Thanks again! Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family!

I also noticed the more we brushed off the more the pattern disappeared again. I would suggest maybe hand rubbing the powdered sugar into the cracks. You will find it definitely works better than even the brush. The right recipe is the trick for sure! As you see the pie crust didn't show the pattern very well. Trial and error.☺️

Fun video! Using the Revere Ware as cutters is brilliant! I still use my mom's and grandmother's, but never thought to do that. The embossed rolling pins are nice, too. A trick that prevent the dough from sticking to the work surface is parchment paper. Rolling the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper.

They are chewey for sure. After 3 days noticed the powdered sugar absorbed into the cookie so they are best eaten right away as a side note. Good recipe for the embossed roller. We are going to try again with sugar cookies also.😉

I see you are using “Great Value” pie fillings. They make a GREAT sugar free apple pie filling. I add a little more cinnamon to it and it’s ready for baking. It doesn’t have that funny aftertaste so many sugar free foods have. My husband LOVES it.
