Some good bargains there. I'm thinking of next Christmas already and decided to go with a silver tinsel tree. I'd prefer to get an aluminum tree, but they're very hard to get in the UK and are ultra expensive. I'd thought I'd make it pop with a few glass neon balls, but the secret with silver trees is to not overdo the decorations

Maybe you can do a white tree with black and white bobbles and other black n whites - just don't over do with the black stuff. This would be a different type of tree. I wasn't able to go shopping until New Years Day at Walmart. The shelves were pretty bare. So the next day, I went to Michael's for art supplies and found some beautiful ribbon for 50% off. Plus, I had a coupon for 20% off. This made the ribbon $2 a roll, so I got the last 2. Yesterday I went to 2 Hobby Lobby stores. They had the green Robert Stanley ornaments and the blue snowflake for 90% off. So I paid $2 each. The second store had gold and red 4 pack ornaments for 50 cents ! You definitely found things I wish I had found 😊!

I love the Mark Roberts fairy and elves. I found one at Home Goods on clearance after Christmas (it's not vintage but beautiful nevertheless). Those are lovely. I don't have much room as I live in a small cottage so I have to restrict myself also I try to make a lot of my Christmas items, this year I made a sledge door hanging I have also made little bird houses and baubles a fairy and a santa in past years. Beautiful pieces! I like shopping after Christmas as you always get good deals on what is left. Glad to hear y'all are feeling better. I read an article recently about decluttering. I was agreeing with it (throw out old clothes that don't fit, chipped mugs and so on.) Then, it came to seasonal decor. The author suggested to not buy a lot of decor as you don't put it out for very long. That's when I stopped reading and said, nope, this author is crazy!! And I do have a vintage angel tree tooper from my grandma. It has a porcelain face and wings. I dont put her on the tree. She is part of my nativity set.

Our Hobby Lobby and Walmart were about sold out of all Christmas items before Christmas. I did manage to get some boxes of vintage Christmas ornaments from both places a few days before Christmas. I have never seen the stores cleaned out of Christmas decor before Christmas. Even Lowe's Home Improvement Center was tapped out. I did get a few boxes of electric lights boxes of 100 for a $1 each from Lowe's on the Friday before.

I guess your FLU jumped all the way from FL to WI. Yes, my husband and I both got it. Him, 1st and then me, about 5 days later. No fun, at all. We live an hr. from town, and, we never went there at all, so I got nothing. I really didn't want to get any Christmas items. Hi Jeff...great haul you got there. Today I went to our Hobby Lobby ...central Pa...Christmas was 90% percent off. Oh yes I did go crazy....spent $42, saved almost $400. I'd say it was a good trip. You must be feeling better, I see you still have your sense of humor 😊. Surprisingly no. It’s been a strange year. It was a brown Christmas. No snow at all. There’s a few flurries coming down today, but I don’t think we have even a 1/2” of snow on the ground. Temperatures are cold, in the 20’s but at least they are above zero. We may actually get Spring this year😊. Last year we had over 4’ of snow in May😢.

Great bargains, wow! I got some 50% off Hobby Lobby ornaments for my "nature/woodland" themed tree before Christmas. I checked online after Christmas and everything I would have wanted to buy was already out of stock. That's okay, my basement storage space is overflowing with Christmas decorations collected over 30 plus years. I don't have the space here to put up more than one tree, and it sits in the place of pride, centered with curtains looped back in front of the big picture window in the living room. Where on earth do you store all of your Christmas decor and how do you keep track of it all - spread sheets???
