With all of her fame she never changed who she was. It’s 2023 and she still appears to be the same sweet woman she was here. She’s still doing for others and I just adore her. What a star.

As for Dolly she is just one down to earth enchanting unique soul.

Tom got me through a lot of depressed, lonely nights with his style. I like to think he brought us all together, Brenda, to keep each other company in troubled times. To see him interview Dolly, a person who has not one detractor alive I can think of, is a moment I'm glad will be preserved.

@@badapple65 It's funny how females with accents just tare us guys up. I'm from the region Dolly is from, so a southern accent isn't a thing to me and the way folks speak in the rest of the country doesn't sound foreign to our ears. I love other accents from females though. I dated a girl from Ireland and her accent was one of the things that got my attention, along with other things. We're Irish, my mother and father are both 100% Irish. Their parents, my grandparents came to this country when they were kids. Their families literally came here on the same boat, everyone from those ships all settled in the same region, so that's how they met and got together. Needless to say, both of my grandmothers couldn't have been happier that I had an Irish gal. 😂 From gals with accents, I got off topic a little. 😂

Great interview with so much respect for Ms. Parton. Tom gets her to an intelligent place that most interviewers never can, so Dolly has a chance to analyze and self-reflect in important ways that show her wisdom, intelligent sense of humor/wit and "happy heart," drive and joy at helping others at the level she has always deserved.

Imagine... I've been in love with Dolly since I've met her, as a journalist, in Toronto (CA) a long time ago... She was twenty something. She was a pure gem ! ----- Her best quality (based on my own criteria) is her «soul»... it's a the part of a human that can not be fake... and based on this feeling, I'd say : «What a nice person Dolly was and still is...» ------ Thank you God for «Dolly Parton» ---- Ps) I am 75, with the soul of a 30 years old French guy (I am French). Even at my age, I still produce documentaries movies in China's National TV (called CCTV) and I wish to produce one (a documentory) to make her look even more seductive for a woman of her age... I say this, because a «terrific soul» never age. LOVE YOU DOLLY !

I truly believe part of that can be attributed to her southern roots. I'm from about 60 miles northeast of where Dolly was born and raised. I used to wanna get out of the south so bad. After I did my share of traveling and living in different regions around the country, I wouldn't think of living anywhere else. That southern charm and hospitality isn't just a myth, there's something to it.

I don’t get how it’s so crazy that she and other country singers from back then had 10-12 siblings. My grandma (born 1951) had 9 siblings and my grandpa (born 1948) had 10. Or maybe vice versa. We’re from southern Virginia, my grandpas family is from the mountains of Tennessee though, but we live in a more city area and it was never considered unique that they had so many brothers and sisters...so I figured it wasn’t too rare back then?

Brothers and sisters, I have been on a hunt now for a while. Looking for someone saying ANYTHING unkind about Dolly online. Not only have I come up empty on that account, but I haven't seen a single troll tearing into others who gush praise upon her. It's like nothing I've ever seen. This to me seems significant. You have to look hard NOT to find a comment thread for videos with 80k+ views WITHOUT a troll. I'm really kind of afraid of what will happen to this world when she's left it. I hope she knows how broadly and deeply her fellow human beings love her. Tom Snyder was a great guy, I should add, and one of my favorite interviewers.
