Soccer has thousands of men playing in the top division in dozens of leagues in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and now the Oil countries in the Middle East all these guys think of themselves as top shelf talent yet in tennis the broad public perception is if you're not in the top 120 you're a bum, which is ridiculous. I love tennis and would queue for an hour and pay 30 bucks to watch you play 2 full sets. Tennis is a cruel but beautiful sport, I wish it was better run kinda like soccer with leagues and a potential for a decent living for guys like yourself.

@@KaruesellHQ You're trying to replicate what Jules Marie has been doing for the past couple of years with his French based audience, I get that, but acting like you were not trying to go for pro in your 20s is a little disingenuous Karue man. You tried qualifying for Challengers and even an ATP Tour 250. If you had won those matches and gone deep you would have made it a full-time venture. You didn't wanna be that journeyman guy that floated around the Futures though. Which is fair. Now you've got money and a fan following you're more motivated.
@stefanthomassen47506 ай бұрын
I like the content, which Karue produces here on youtube, it is entertainy, but a "real pro" who can make a living from his returns on ATP, he will never do. Friends of me had been around ATP330, even they couldn´t do it financially. And one of them lost against Nadal with 16 in the final of the european championships, beat Struff (when Struff was already Top 100) and others, who are now Top30. But even him struggled, due to injuries and other things... So that "real pro" is 1 of a million, a nice dream, but for nearly all, only a dream 🙂

modern bodies can go to 40. 40 is the new 30. Men are physically peaking at the 27-33 range, and after 33 it's declining, but not at an accelerated rate either. Depending on your lifestyle and diet, you could easily be a 30 year old athlete for multiple years and have high performance. You just need to take care of injuries just as any aged athlete must

Hey Karue - huge fan! I noticed on a lot of the matches you've lost this year your 1st serve percentage was down. Like low 50s or below. Would you say that's your biggest area of improvement to get to the next level? Cause I think if you're consistently >60%, you're gonna crush your opponents especially given how good your return game is.
@KaruesellHQ6 ай бұрын
Yep. It's always the serve. Serving has never been easy to me and while I am a lot comfortable with it today, there are still days it goes off. And I can be stubborn trying to continue to hit big. That being said, you still need to win free points so it's about the balance of things. It is something I focus on a lot
@jonz946 ай бұрын
@@KaruesellHQ You got this! As someone who also is shorter (by tennis standards lol), I draw a lot of inspiration from guys like you, DeMinaur, Mannarino, Alcaraz. Dominant service games needs to revolve around high 1st serve percentage and then good +1 forehands. Guys 6'0 and under like us aren't gonna have high ace percentages, but that's ok.
@longgrayline80556 ай бұрын
You have to get used to the grind, travel, and mental stress. I did it for years in the 90’s as a player and then as a hitter and coach to two top WTA players and Russia’s #1 male player back in the early 2000’s. Eventually you become used to the scene and you begin to relax and play better. You have to get used to being uncomfortable and performing at a high level. It comes. 6 months is way too short to judge anything. You’re just cutting your teeth. You have game. Keep playing…
