First Agurin's video, now one about Dopa. This channel is definitely going in the right direction 👍great work!
@cpt.flamer718411 ай бұрын
Actually Agurin, the guy who consistently hits rank 1 on EUW and this year he hit rank 1 in Korea in like 2 weeks said the exact same thing about his strategy for solo q, i mean to always do a "correct" play and even if it doesn't work out once or even many times it doesn't mean it's incorrect play, because over hundreds of games it's gonna pay off, to minimalize the risk and go only for plays with high propability to succeed etc. It's funny how they both don't concider themselves exeptional players in terms of mechanics and it's true that although they're both really good there are many more mechanically gifted players who can't climb so fast and so consistently as those two, it's like they just see the game in the broader way, they see the climb as a whole, they understand what to do to have win rate ;p They also have a strong mental. I feel like we all can adopt some of this way of thinking, maybe not everyone can be rank 1, but i think everyone can increase their rank by adopting some of this attitude.
@lsw99bricks10 ай бұрын
I dont think agurin has a mental strength above average. I realized he is more calm since he started streaming in english tho. Maybe because it takes enough brain capacity to speak in your second language or because of the proven fact that you might switch personality as well when switching between languages. But in german he tended to be quickly distracted by his team making wrong decisions and complained a lot (mostly without insults tho). He does what was mentioned in the video: if enemy bot lane is inting, even their mid is gonna be distracted by it. I agree that agurin might not let this attitude influence his decisions but it def takes some if his capacity for the game

Good video but one thing I disagree with is that its more impressive to hit rank 1 on the super server because even bronze players are diamond. That stuff doesnt matter to the high challenger level players anyways. The top of the ladder players like beifeng/dopa/chovy/showmaker are competing against each other, they dont care about which bronze players are actually diamond because they never get into game with them anyways. For that reason the Korean server is not easier to get rank 1 than the superserver. The superserver is better top down because the silver players on the superserver are way better, but Korean challenger and superserver challenger are comparable. But once again, it doesnt matter which bronze players are better when assessing rank 1. It just matters who the top 10 are.

Even if Faker out classes Dopa in a 1v1, it's not without taking pages from Dopa's handbook on how to play the game from a objective and subjective standpoint. Great video, I actually learned some new things about Dopa. I just wished you adressed his performance on other lanes and champions more. He was truly a monster. And compared to Faker, I'd have mentioned the difference in champpool. While Dopa could play any lane to Rank 1, his champion pool still pales in comparison to Faker, who can play any champion in this game, which you've never seen him play, and outshine challenger one tricks on said champs both mechanically and macrowise. He truly is an anti Faker. Both of those players inspired me so much, while Faker is Riots golden child and Dopa is banned until the heat death of the universe. My god, they even unbanned Tyler1, who truly didn't deserve it, but Dopa stays banned, not because of toxicity, but because of monetary reasons, which is earning money with the game from boosting. Nowadays you see silvers and golds who have same mechanics if not better than those who are in diamond, but they are still hard stuck.
