Mythic Skins with Unique Gameplay Animations | Overwatch 2 [Fan-made]

All Mythic skins have unique Hero Select animations, but what if they had some cosmetic ones during gameplay too? We made some concepts to explore the idea!

The Sigma one is actually so good. Base is more of him having to think about the barrier returning to him and commanding it back. Galatic is him putting his arm up and *expecting* it to return. Very minor, but it fits very well.

This is actually a great idea. Blizzard should seriously consider this, it'd add more personality to their mythics. Edit: The Development Team should consider this. Blizzard doesn't do much for OW2...

@@Roxasxion1314 They've stated that they only give the mythic skin in the BP _because_ you can't rebuy it using the same payment. I prefer this over whst apex does (Can rebuy BP, mythic skins are in the shop). It would be extremely cool if they added unique animations but as it stand, the BP gives very good value and will be even better with the PvE tacked on next season

I think it'd also be important to be able to revert them to the default animations. In some cases like Genji's shuriken reload, it actually take a bit of visibility away. And even if it's just for a second it should be important to give players to freedom to alternate between the mythic animations and default ones.

And tracers recall is harder to follow as the player since you get teleported back instantly rather than follow the path back

I was thinking more about the tracer recall. Usually you're able to see where you're going while rewinding so it's easier to continue right away but in this animation she actually teleports

Speaking from a competitive standpoint, the Tracer one actually can give you a disadvantage. Without this mythic skin, if you go a very far distance (say, 3 blinks) then recall, you can recall and see everything you just passed in real time, meaning if someone is in the area you just passed with your blinks, you'll see them on your way back using recall. However, if you use the mythic skin, it just teleports you to the place you were before, meaning you can't see any of this critical information.

All of these look great! The only one that would have issues in the gameplay department is Tracer due to how fast her blinks are. Standing in place for 18 frames and THEN teleporting would feel weird, and be very discombobulating without the physical movement that blink provides. But that's just me being picky, looks great! I LOVE the Junker Queen one!
