Thanks for posting this. I wanted very much to meet Bill Reid. I really admire his commitment to quality and his influence on reviving NW Coast native art, which is one of the truly great art forms.

McLovin the cutting edge video of the 1980s Ive got a very old ring. Its a Haida bear. Its been in my family for a very long time. I have a hunch it may be valuable and may of been made long ago by someone on the west coast of canada. Idk who would be best to tell me a bit of history on it and where it came from

Usually artists leave a makers mark on the under side of the ring, but if it’s old, they may get harder to see.

Do you mean the opening titles? :) I designed/directed those myself. They were very cool at that time. Maybe not so much now? :)
