Aesir are craven cowards, they’re so afraid of dying, they will use any means to prevent their demise. They practically soiled their jockeys when Idun went missing, all because they were afraid to grow old.

Odin really shouldn't have been so biased; his actions are also what led to their roles in Ragnarok itself instead of preventing it. Had he not banished Loki's children, they might have been his allies.
