I think the smelling alcohol thing is legit. Alcohol fumes are known to cause dizziness, headaches and nausea, and when alcohol is heated, the concentrated fumes, if inhaled, go straight to your brain and can cause sudden, dangerous levels of intoxication. There are also studies that say that people's inhibitions are lowered when they smell alcohol.

He stopped wearing it after the accident -- his left hand was also injured and pretty swollen. He was probably told to keep it off. But he's still wearing the fitness ring on the other hand, so yeah, that is kinda weird.

I'm no doctor 😂 It did indeed disappear during the Christmas special episodes and at the same time the arm sling appeared. Time will tell I guess 🤷‍♂️

His wedding ring got caught on something and I can't remember the whole story, but they had to saw it off him in the ER and told him he'd nearly been degloved! He told me not to google that so of course I pulled my phone out right then and there. And yeah, my Dad has never worn his ring.

Idk if this is gonna show, even though I've been a Mythical Beast for countless years now my channel is basically blocked from commenting on their main channel (I guess I was too supportive in the comments at one point)..... but. I have to say. I been SO concerned about Link lately, esp after his accident. And its been so hard to watch him hurt on the show, esp when he got on the ground (WITH his arm sling) to do some skit.... I really feel like Link deserves a break. Esp from Rhett who's become.... disappointing in the last few years with his try hard "overly tough" demeanor. His fave tag line now is "i have no emotions". Someone needs to tell Rhett it's OK to show your emotions, it's OK to like candy & sweet things, and it's OK to like cats. None of this makes you a lesser man lol. Seriously.

It's fairly clear to me that Rhett is just playing a character - but I do agree with you that Link deserves a break. I hope they get used to writing new episodes around his injury and don't keep forcing him into situations in which he has to hurt himself. Not to point out his age but he needs to take good care of his body while it's healing! It could leave scars otherwise. I would never dream of making someone in a sling try to use their injured arm.

Seriously. I totally agree. Whenever someone brings that up the response is always “omg I can’t believe you believe that of course he’s just playing a character” but like jokes are based on reality. People would be surprised how many men use the “its just a joke” excuse to be hateful and get away with it, and in this case its not that bad because at the very least rhett is fairly respectful but like it annoys me how instead of addressing his inner trauma related to feeling like he’s not masculine or manly enough he just makes jokes about it.

I mean, if you’re not happy with the show as is, stop watching it. But you not liking how they behave on camera doesn’t mean there’s something wrong. They have a pretty good track record of keeping fans updated on their personal lives, so if anything major was going on they would probably talk about it. And if they choose not to, it’s no one’s business but their own. They get to decide how much we know about their personal lives. At the end of the day, they’re going to do the show according to what they want (however that’s decided) and it’s pretty clear how much they pay attention to likes/views/etc. If you don’t like it, don’t watch.
