I write in English for all non Albanians 😊 I always wondered why today we Albanians call ourselves Shqiptarë since in the past we were Arbanians/Arbëresh and for our neighbours their versions Arvanites arbanasi arnaut etc. Before this medieval identification we were Illiryans, Dardanians, Pelasgians etc. If this is true, why keep changing name?
