The very fact that the people have no clue should tell us that this azadi is just a farce as has had nil impact amongst Kashmiri people living within the Pakistani side of the LOC. What azadi are we referring when local governance is indirectly controlled by Islamabad and Rawalpindi What kind of azadi where Azad Kashmiris have remained to be poor where there has been almost nil infrastructure development in building roads, highways, bridges with poor connectivity of electricity and internet amongst towns and villages where there is no industry with dearth in the number of universities, colleges, hospitals, and clinics. By filtering out any false rhetoric and state propaganda, an honest comparison with Kashmir on Indian side of the LOC would provide a sharp contrast on the present and the projected future. Is it not high time to leave geopolitics aside, as it has proved its worth by only spreading toxicity and suffering amongst the Kashmiri people. Amongst the doom and gloom of a potentially bleak future, concrete measures have to be initiated by Azad Kashmiris themselves, selfishly looking towards their own peace and prosperity which is absolutely critical for the development of local commerce and trade, ramping up the huge potential of tourism. These measures would automatically do away with prevailing social ills like unemployment and stigma of religious extremism, simultaneously raising the standard of living amongst all Azad Kashmiris and creating a new generation of Kashmiri youth who are well educated, self-confident and free of any historical ideology as it opens new windows of opportunity. Azad Kashmiris must understand that peace and prosperity are the basic foundations and is the only way to create a stable and moderate environment for Kashmiri society to thrive against destructive external politics and with time allowing for serious debate amongst Kashmiri people from both sides of LOC and work out a road map for their own future. .
