This week I’ve ventured into vegan for first time. Watching cooking videos on here is my favorite relaxing pastime. Came across this video and subscribed ❤ Today I’m completing a 3 day vegan fast which began with a 1 day vegan detox. Rest has been all vegan soursop leaf tea, apricot kernels, and super greens powder. Your educational video has convinced me to stay on the course and eat vegan and the intermittent fasting. I’ll check your other videos. Thanks.

I just made your porridge recipe and did one small adjustment, I added 10 dates into the blender with the water and it was so delicious. I also did not add any almond milk at all to make the porridge thicker. I really appreciate your recipes! They help me stay inspired without compromising flavor. :)

Hi there, the plantain porridge looked quite creamy and yummy! I think I'll try that some day but think I'll desire a bit of sweetener with it. Not sure if you are aware, but in the event you are not, pouring hot food into/on plastic can potentially cause the plastic to break down quickly and leech into food. I never liked mushroom but i never had them saute or fried maybe ill give it a try. As far as plantains i eat the yellow sweet ones, never care for the green plantain or banana. Can i use the yellow plantains for the porridge?

Hey 👋🏽 welcome to my channel…thank you for viewing 🙏🏽 congrats on a year being vegan…I can relate getting into a routine eating the same meals every day…if I didn’t feel the need to try new recipes and share with all of you I would probably be eating the same thing every day too. As far as the plantains, I would not suggest you try to make porridge with them once they’re ripe. For one they’re mostly sugar when ripe and secondly you wouldn’t be getting the health benefits of resistant starch which provides healthy bacteria in the gut🙌🏽.

Hard to find plantain here. I know JA has more than one kind of porridge. Only porridge I ever had in JA was cornmeal porridge. Only in some years back I heard about peanut porridge, banana porridge. I made think it was banana ( not plantain) and I Neva liked it. Maybe one reason is I’m not a big fan of nutmeg and cinnamon. Oh and if I had plantain I’d fry it as it’s so hard to find. You definitely need that fiber to clean you out. Those dumplings constipate you. I was in JA in my 20’ s and 30’s and would have that issue. One of my concerns now when go to visit as I’m older. I do love dumplings

Why do you coat the mushrooms in cornstarch?

@myvegankitchenlife7 ай бұрын
Juicing fruits and veggies removes the fiber yes. You can save the fiber and incorporate it in other recipes. Typically, what you get when juicing fruits and vegetables is a good amount of the food’s vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, polyphenols and other compounds that your body loves. So, depending on what foods you put in the juicer, you can increase your intake of things like vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, magnesium and other good-for-you stuff.🫶🏽
