Terrific thorough review! Loved the small's debut with that rose lining, however agree on the straps (plus similar to a medium Sutton). Those deluxe features: outside pockets, that luggage sleeve,etc. contrast lining,etc. -- def. upgrades. The medium looks pretty generous without being overwhelming. Got a blush camo Max that has a few of these features, so didn't really pay attention to this bag. But that deluxe looks fabulous!

@@ClassicClaudine The blush camo Max looks like it is going to be wonderful! Those added new features (outside pockets) should be a hit as well. As you noted with your medium Sutton in that color, who knew blush camo would be the ultimate neutral? (especially for spring/summer). As far as really packing it up and taking it on the road - looking forward to when we all can travel once again.

Just came across your channel as I’m researching a new all purpose work/travel/etc etc bag. You and this review are FANTASTIC! 💕 I was going back and forth on the medium vs the large, but showing the size on plus the deep dive in the measurements convince me this size is all you need. I agree, all it takes is that one employee to get out the measure tape lol. I was also trying to decide on the matte vs shine finish-to me, this still looks pretty special (insane, but I want something both minimalist yet “different” if that makes sense 🤷🏾‍♀️). Anyway, thanks again for the great review!

This medium metro deluxe is on my shopping list as well, and I am patiently waiting for a vivid color other than black, as I actually bought the small metro deluxe in black and regular large in magnet color. I want to add a medium deluxe and mini deluxe to my collection in other colors!

I really hope they release more colors and prints in the medium metro deluxe. It’s so fantastic! I wish I could justify the small deluxe - I am obsessed with the rose interior!

I want them to keep the solid same color lining. I put a bright colored Samorga in mine and it doesn’t make the bag look structured, but it does allow me to see in my purse. I use the 2mm felt Samorga for the Longchamp Le Pliage on the medium MZ. I have the one without the crossbody and it works nicely. Just an idea.

Awesome review! I thought I loved my large metro totes (I have 3 of the original ones...don't judge, 2 of them were from the recent sale!) ---- until I saw the deluxe version. The deluxe took an already great bag to the next level. I have now purchased it in al 3 sizes, SM, MD, LG....waiting to get the mini!!

@@ClassicClaudine I think I'll get a fun color in the mini when i eventually make that purchase, but I only have basic black in the SM/MD/LG deluxe. Partly due to lack of availability in other colors that I liked or knew I would get a lot of use from. Wish the lining was prettier on the MD/LG, but at least the gray gives a nice contrast vs. the black lining in my regular LG metro.

I wish someone would give the real measurements of the small medium and large Metro totes. Laid flat they're a lot wider then the website states. There's no way the top of that bag is 11 inches. :(

Hi! Researching to buy my first MZ wallace for travel. Looking at this one but I have a concern. How do the handles stay on the shoulder? Since they are wider, do they slip off the shoulder? TIA.

They do slide yes. I purchased gummy stickies that go on the underside of the strap and that keeps them on the shoulder.

I had never heard of this brand before your video. I checked out their online and was immediately smitten with the pastel patchwork color. It's the most I have ever spent on a bag but it is really nice. Even after watching a few videos it's way bigger than I expected and I get swallowed by it as a petite. It's also HOT. As soon as I put it on my shoulder I feel all the summer heat trapped against my side. I will be using that crossbody for some distance. I'll be using it for work. I noticed they're popular with moms with young kids at least on youtube. Is that their primary market? I'm definitely not in that category XD

I’m not a mom (unless you count being a dog mom hehe🐶) and I have a number of MZ Wallace bags. They are very practical and functional. I know exactly what you mean about the bag being hot against the body. I use this specific style for travel only, so it spends most of its time on top of my carry-on. I don’t experience that feeling of heat with the smaller bags (ie. Small Sutton). Hope that helps.

That’s a tough one. I wouldn’t consider the bag to the matte. It’s not super shiny like other finishes (like the lacquer), but it’s not matte.

Not happy with the deluxe. I think it is too extra. I love the little slip pocket for my phone and I don't mind the inside extra zip sections (one would have been enough) , but the travel sleeve with the extra zipper on bottom and cross body was way too much for me. I love the simplicity of the tote and all those extras are too much IMO. I returned mine and bought another classic metro tote.

Depends on how much you carry and if you want the option to put the bag on your shoulder. The medium goes over the shoulder, and the small - unless your arms are super skinny and you like the bag right under your armpit - doesn’t. Hope this helps!

I’ve found all of that information I just haven’t been able to find any comparison pictures. I don’t live anywhere near a retailer. I carry a LV NV GM daily but could downsize. I’d rather it be a little too big then too small. Does that help? I truly haven’t been able to find out info online and I’ve looked for a week.

I really can’t make the decision for you. If it were me and my everyday bag is a NF GM I’d try the medium first. My guess is that’s more comparable in size to the NF GM. If it doesn’t work, exchange for another size (up or down depending on how much of my stuff the medium held).

Without question I prefer the deluxe. All the exterior pockets are an absolute game changer for the bag. Helps me stay organized and makes the bag feel less like 1 big pit.
