Smh I’m disappointed. Y’all let it get to you guys. It was supposed to be asl video. Y’all be flossing too much and not even really signing the whole songs. The video is fire but that defeats the purpose of ASL video. Just my opinion 💁🏼♀️

Haha omg yes the n words!! I cringed when she said that I was like did this chick really said it?? I had to go back and look if she’s really mouthing it. The title said nerd lemonade in ASL so I’m assuming it’s a ASL video of the song. Should of have been more clarifying saying it’s a hype deaf version music video with little signing in it that is.

AM NR The n word was not mouthed or signed by white people. This video was intended to be a fun project bringing our crew and the Deaf community together. It’s one of many projects we’re working on with the purpose of furthering the movement of inclusion for the Deaf community in the entertainment industry, both by highlighting Deaf talent and providing interpreters at entertainment venues.

Stephanie Lopez We are disappointed that a video featuring so much Deaf talent and inclusion would be ridiculed for having the intention of “flossing.” This is one of many projects we are working on and only one style of the countless videos we have produced and will continue to produce. True access is about having something for everyone. Not all hearing people enjoy the same style of music videos but they all have the option of choosing what music videos they’d like to watch. It is our goal that the same thing happen for the Deaf community. Everyone you see in this video invested countless hours into practicing and showcasing their talent, most notably, our videographer who spends triple the amount of time a hearing music videographer spends in order to make sure the music is on beat with the interpretation. We hope that you will consider the dedication, positive intention, and hard work that goes on behind the scenes when watching our future videos if you choose to do so.

AM NR doesn’t make what okay? No one signed or said the n word so what is not okay? Our creative choices?

AM NR All the guys are deaf. The videographer is deaf. The dancer is deaf and the entire crowd is deaf.
